I’m sorry to be boring (because I’ve asked this before), but I repeat my request to Ed Zotti: what is your vision for the Straight Dope: to continue as it was, or to be something different? If the latter, what?
To continue as it was in terms of a balance of reasonable moderation/reasonable freedom, the ability to call “cite?” (you’ve no idea how much I miss that on other boards) and of course with full search functions restored (preferably without the 5 minute wait), but with new blood to keep it interesting. The “Dopers: butt nekkid and pregnant!” and Free for all (like the pit thread Cecinalia during the Lost Weekend) may not be good ideas. And of course no pooftahs.
