When I submit a post, it goes to preview. Can’t I go from there back to my post to correct errors? When I hit “back”, it re-submits. What am I doing wrong?
Peace,

When you submit a post, you have submitted it. Are you pressing “submit reply” or “preview reply”? In preview mode, your post shows at the top of your screen as it would look if you had submitted it and you can scroll down to the “post reply” area.
If you edit your post in preview you have to hit the “preview reply” button again to see those changes. If you hit the back button, your computer goes back to the last screen it was on, which in your case was “submit reply”.
Good thing I don’t write instruction manuals for a living, huh?
I think I know what you mean, as it happens to me.
Sometimes you hit the back and your entire post is still in the reply window.
Other times, when you hit the back, you find the whole thing is empty again.
Or, if you were quoting, just the original quote appears, not all you’ve studiously written after it.
I wish I had the complete answer, because it’s burned me more than I like to admit.
Perhaps it’s in the browser settings for Temporary Files: “Check for Newer Versions of Stored Pages Every Visit to the Page”.
One thing that may save your ass on occasion is
you can do a Windows File Search in the directory
Temporary Internet Files using the Contains Text of something you recall typing.
This will work only after a preview or post, but I’ve sometimes found a long post that way.
Now I got it.
