That posted picture is gruesome… So for those of you with a weak stomach, please don’t click on the link in pancake3’s post.
I’ve seen some gory things in real life, but seeing a leg flop like that is always hard to see. I was amazed at the lack of blood, and I was also amazed that the kid wasn’t screaming his head off. He looked like he was pretty composed when they took him off the court. I was shocked he didn’t pass out or go into shock.
On the positive side, that looks like a very clean break, so I think he hill be back and able to play again at some point. Don’t know I’d he will be able to play at the same level, but time will tell.
The immediate and completely in-synch reaction from the cardinals bench was amazing. I’ve never seem 7-8 people react like that in unison before over an injury.
They’ve already inserted the titanium rod and he may be released Tues. They’re watching for any complications. Impaired circulation is probably the biggest concern.
Medicine these day is amazing. They’re saying this kid may even be on the bench to see the Final 4 game this weekend.
Something had to be wrong before this injury. Maybe a stress fracture? Legs shouldn’t snap that easily.
These young kids are tough. They bounce back from injuries so much faster than I would now. He’s still in for a long rehab. But I bet he’ll be playing next season.
