Funny. This thread is still top of the pit list even though I requested its closure back in post 22. (I suppose numbered posts is an improvement of sorts.) I guess there must be a need for it then.
At the moment no one can report to mod anyway. The button is missing. Does that strike anyone else as ironic?
See that button with the ! icon in the upper right of a post? That’s the “Bad Post” button.
I remember that many people griped about the appearance and usability of the board the last time vBulletin was upgraded. Who wants to bet that the same people whinging now were the same people whinging then?
Me, I think it’ll take a little getting used to, but it’s kinda cool the way clicking on someone’s name gives you all those options. Of course, anyone using a text browser may well be screwed by all the interactive code 'n stuff. But then, I don’t know how the board looks when viewed through Lynx, either. Anyone using that who can give us a report?
Actually it looks like you can make that change on any page, look at the very bottom for a pull-down menu that says SDMB v Bulletin 3 style and choose Brightlinks.
For me, viewed stuff goes from bold to regular.
I like the new look, and the new features. Find it easier on my eyes, it fills my screen just fine and am already used to it. Thumbs up!

I hope I hope I hope they put the buddies list back on the User CP the way it used to be and the reply box back at the bottom of each thread (so you don’t have to click to reply). I also miss the location being next to the name.
Other than that, I like what I’ve seen so far.
