I was looking for a wireless mouse and keyboard on amazon (the [url=http://www.amazon.co.uk[uk site). I ‘bought’ a microsoft wireless optical mouse, and later on found a logitech kit (mouse and keyboard) prefering logitech and wanting both a mouse and a keyboard I decided to cancel my other order (submitted just 5 minutes earlier) only to find that it had been dispatched and could not be cancelled.
dispatched in 5 minutes! efficient sods! I will recieve it tomorow.
(btw - this is a joke rant - I am of course happy with excelent service)
Microsoft might screw up many things, but the one thing they got right was their mouse. It is exactly the right weight, size, balance, and resistance. Managing to click a Logitech mouse is a feat of biblical proportion, akin to pushing Excaliber into solid rock.
Lib: I’m currently using a Logitech optical mouse, and it’s just great. It glides smooth, it clicks easy, and the wheel works like a dream. You might have gotten one of a bad series, or maybe even just a bad example, but the one I have is very, very good.
No Lib if you read my op you will find that I bought a Microsoft mouse.
I have nothing to complain about to logitech anyway - I bought their optical mouse a while back (not wireless) it was very cheap and works fine. it was like half the price of the microsoft equivalent and just as good. My only critisism is that the wheel isn’t ridged. I cannot turn that thing to save my life after eating a chicken leg.
Just to clarify - I wanted a logitech mouse and keyboard. I have been sent a Microsoft mouse, and no keyboard.
I could not find [on amazon] a wireless keyboard that didn’t come with a mouse. so I will have to make do with my [caked in grime] ‘Lindy’ Keyboard. and a wireless mouse - yet another thing to have to manage batteries for.
(you see - I did not think of havig to replace batteries until after I pressed submit)
Okay, I admit that the last time I owned a Logitech was, what, nineteen-ninety-something. If they have improved, then bully for them. But as I sit here stroking and caressing my Microsoft mouse, while basking in the warmth of the hearts and hearths of the people of Punxsutawney, I can’t imagine a better fate than a long, lustrous winter.
If your experience with Amazon is anything like mine, your package actually hasn’t been shipped. It will show as being processed and shipped for about two days, during which time you will be wondering why, if it was shipped 5 days ago, you can’t see a UPS tracking number, nor can you cancel the package.
Then, mysteriously, it will show up as NOT shipped. At this point you could have not only purchased the stuff somewhere else, but you would have recieved it and been happily using your new mouse.
I’ve got the same bloody comlaint as lobsang. I recently ordered a whole bunch of stuff from amazon, and asked them to ship it in one delivery.
Amonst the goods was a book I knew wouldnt be released till the start of December, so I realised I’d have to wait a couple of weeks.
I then remembered a CD I needed to add to the order, so went to order it. I got distracted just after, so perhaps half an hour went by till I remembered I needed to combine the orders. Went to amazon, to find that the CD had already shipped.
Even worse, the shitheads got the CD to me the next day. Then just to really piss me off, like they hadn’t done enough already, they refunded the postage when I explained what had happened.
