A few things (from a former Cairene)

Of course, check out all the museums and attractions (Cairo Museum, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Dead - including the Kings and Queens- Hatshepsut Temple, the Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, yada yada). The most fun that my Texan wife had in Egypt was when we took a Fallukah ride on the Nile and the staff prepared a sumptuous meal for us as we rode along. Don’t forget to visit all the American business establishments i.e. Applebees and TGIFRIDAYS and Mcdonalds to observe the differences between our cultures. (Applebees in Cairo has a full yacht of a restaurant that is very similar to the ones you’d encounter here except for some dietary differences - no pork). Also, go to OTW places such as the Amsterdam Bar in Mohandeseen, which has fabulous music and appetizers.
