Einstein?

Was Albert Einstein ever married? Did he have a love interest? Did he have any kids? If he didn’t why not? Was he gay?

Married twice. At least one daughter. Not gay.

I may be wrong but IIRC Marilyn Monroe when asked who the sexiest man alive was answered Albert Einstein. However, she must have been too busy with JFK and Joe DiMaggio to get around to having a fling with Einstein.

There’s a terrific play called Insignificance (can’t remember the author, but my brother directed it in college) about Marylin Monroe, Albert Einstein, Joe DiMaggio and Joe McCarthy meeting in a hotel room.

I believe they made a film of it too, but I’ve never seen it.

A long time ago I remember seeing Shelley Winters on the Tonight Show (or some show like it) and she was relating anecdotes about Marilyn Monroe. The gist of one of them was that MM spoke once (to SW) about how she thought Einstein was sexy, or she thought it would be exciting to meet him, or something to that effect; in a subsequent conversation MM said to SW (when the topic came up again) that she’d ‘been-there-done-that’ type of thing, and that it was clearly implied that they’d had a fling. FWIW.

Every now and then PBS runs a neat 2 hour biography on Albie. He was quite the philanderer. Married, divorced, shacking up, you name it. Everything but the neoprene dresses.

I can say that now 'cause he’s dead and can’t come beat me up.

Hah, That’s what you think. Not only is Albert Einstein Cryogeniclly frozen in a lab below the Pentagon, There is a whole army of Einstein clones, that were created in on secret base in Nevada, that are on the way to your house to beat you senseless. Now don’t be sayin’ I didn’t warn ya.

So that explaines how he did that Pepsi commercial with that little pixie who has had more than her 15 minutes!!

Well, I’m not scared.

BRING IT ON SMART GUY!!!

Albert Einstein was married twice. He had two sons by his first marriage. There’s no evidence that Einstein and Monroe ever met. It appears that once in the '50’s they happened to stay in the same hotel one night without meeting. If Shelley Winters claimed that Marilyn Monroe told her that she’d once had sex with Einstein, either Winters or Monroe was fantasizing or just plain lying.

OK, so it probably isnt true. Whaddaya say we believe it anyway. Works for me.

In the 1980’s, Einstein had a descendant (great-granddaughter?) living in Berkeley.

He and his first wife had another child, a daughter I think, that they gave up, before they were married. They got divorced before Einstein won the Nobel Prize (but the settlement gave her the prize money, should he win it). Einstein’s cousin (on both sides of his family) took care of him after he got sick, and they later married.
