Is it really neck and neck? I can $11 about Harris on Betfair.
No, there’s been a handful of us cautioning “calm your tits” to our friends like @Aeschines and @Velocity who started telling us months ago that the game was over and we should start firing up the cigars.
The best analogy I can think of is these college football dopes who have an open field to the end zone, and they get a little full of themselves, and release the ball a yard shy of the goal line because they think it makes them “look cool”.
GA and NC are both lost. There will be no recounts in either. Trump will win by more than 1%.
IIRC we are allowed to bet quatloos, or other fictional currency.
Sure, knock yourself out.
We’re never getting a competent response to an economic crisis again. People prefer prolonged unemployment to even a little blip of inflation (even if that’s matched by wage gains). I suppose it makes sense if you consider that only ~60ish percent of voters are workers, but all of them are consumers.
Do you remember what % of vote was in at midnight ? ( I am hopeful that things will pan out but we are at 88% .
I know that is not a garunteed number of votes left but Harris would need something like 63% of the remaining votes
That surprises me! Damn.
So all the polls showing that women will overwhelmingly support Harris because of Dobbs was just a load of crap, right? Everybody is voting just like they did in 2020.
I choose to be an optimist. I don’t give up hope until everything has been decided. I don’t see how anyone could live with themselves if they did otherwise.
Well, too early to say for sure, but if Harris loses I think it’s a sign that demographics is not destiny and that the Democrats need to figure out better outreach to men in general and Hispanics and black men in particular.
But that’s just false.
Right now it looks like it will be a race to see which state gives Trump the victory, Michigan or Penn. Penn is slower at counting, so probably Michigan. Or maybe Wisconsin will sneak in and take the crown.
I’ll be surprised if Trump wins any of those.
From your lips to God’s ears. But you are quite wrong, I am afraid. I would be very surprised if he doesn’t win them all.
Not so fast. Harris making a run. Both states under 200K Trump lead.
More hoax bomb threats.
NYT has all of them at 60%+ Republican wins. Harris winning all 3 is looking like a long shot, unfortunately.
Yep-yep. Also voters without a college degree, in general. (I think it would be great to increase the number of voters with a college degree, but it’s not ever likely to go much over 50%, and we need to take the fact that this is a distinct voting bloc, with its own culture and set of concerns, seriously.)
NM 300k lead for Trump, 24% reporting.
