Election Day Omnibus thread

Moderating:

Let’s not do this. It’s hard enough for all to endure without making it personal.

Nevermind, the modnote above makes sense.

That’s unnecessary IMHO.

The two House race sites I follow are both slowly trending Democratic. It’ll be quite a while before we know for sure, but at least that’s one hope.

Enough beer. Seems like it’s time to move onto the hard stuff.

That would be a very minor silver lining to an awful night. Even a very small Democratic majority could make a big difference in limiting what Trump can actually do (assuming he wants to do anything).

I’m off to scroll on YouTube and play Team Fortress 2 to distract myself. Stay optimistic people! You’re gonna need it.

I started with the hard stuff and now I nowhere left to go.

I am moving to the couch with the cat.

I chose a great week for fasting. Can’t stress eat or drink!

Guess you picked the wrong night to stop sniffing glue!

Yeah, I can’t imagine drinking rn makes any of this easier.

I’m not sure why this isn’t the same as in 2020. It seems like Harris is in striking distance with a ton of votes to count. Usually the counties that take the longest to count are the most populous, which usually are heavily or relatively more democratic.

Can anyone point me to something quantifying how this is different from the same point in 2020?

Dammit!

Trump had already declared victory by this time in 2020.

He hasn’t tonight. Clearly he is less confident in the results than some of you.

Well, it’s making it easier for me. Mind, I’m not overdoing it, and don’t plan to, no matter what happens.

The blue wall is leaning red with a good number of votes counted. It’s over.

Just like it was at this hour four years ago, which is why Trump has still been president this entire time. Detroit hasn’t even reported in yet.

I will say I expected him to call it for himself before now.

I switched from Mike’s Hard Lemonade to Bulleit an hour ago.
