Well, I’m a CA resident since ‘99. So it was nice to see our state called with 4% of votes for Harris. Pricing will go up out here, so buy online before January!
Scotch. Scotch, White Claw… Where’s the fucking gummies? Dammit!!
I’ve got Tanqueray and plenty of tonic. Plus, a lime.
Most of the people that say that also proclaim to be Christian which is ironic since it’s just another way of saying “I love my money, the root of all kinds of evil.”
Trump has won GA? That’s not good.
Sure, you look at the counties that have completed their count and compare them to 2020. In almost all of them Harris is running a few points worse than Biden is. So unless there is some big tranches of outstanding votes that nobody knows about it’s probably not enough.
Now there are some decent error bars, particularly in Michigan. I wouldn’t be shocked if she pulled it out there. But she also needs PA, which is almost entirely reported, and WI, which looks worse than both of them.
Detroit is not going to be able to make up for reasons I’ve been trying to explain here for years now.
I wanna puke.
So, the Democrats are going to somehow keep Trump from being certified as the winner as to do otherwise will be the death of democracy, right? Or was that all just talk?
Do it now. There might be a tariff on that in February.
YES YES YES
And I am way behind in this thread. I will be thrilled to find Kamala wins. I’m sacrificing so many virtual chickens over here!
What does it take for you to feel bad about this election and the way it is going?
I’m an election (“poll”) worker in a smallish city in Wisconsin, so I’ve been too busy to check on the news until now.
Awful news, of course…but let me just mention that, logistically, the election went really well in our district (i.e., up to about 5,000 voting-age people in several neighborhoods). Election Day in-person turnout was slightly less than we had expected, but lots of new registrants (most of them college-age), and including the absentee ballots, turnout was good (not great, but good).
Most importantly, no incidents like electioneering or angry outbursts, nor anything that required an evacuation (they had prepared us for possibilities like bomb threats or “white powder” incidents). On the contrary, more “thank-yous” and patient calm than in previous elections.
Okay, that’s my report from the “room where it happens”…back to your regularly scheduled shitshow.
The media declaring that Trump has won.
If I were willing to concede over anything less, then why would I even bother paying attention? Why would I even bother taking a side if I didn’t think they could win?
The VP choice really doesn’t matter IMO. I haven’t seen them mentioned in this thread or news. How do people who voted GOP feel about President Vance?
In the places where the count is nearly complete, Trump is doing better than he was in 2020. Harris would need to get bigger margins than Biden in the places that are still out. And there’s not much reason to think those bigger margins will be forthcoming.
Outside of a few places (like the Atlanta suburbs), this is looking like a very uncomplicated shift to the right across the eastern two-thirds of the country (and the other third just isn’t counted yet).
In general MAGA loves him.
You’re forgetting prosperity gospel. The evil part doesn’t even enter into it.
I fear Hulk might be appearing in many wrestling specials for four years, just spiraling, not wrestling.
Yes it’s not about VP choice, I’ve explained what is going on and why.
