They are going to have the full weight of the US government. I’m a homeowner but for all I know they can just nullify that, and there will be no one to turn to.
We are fucked.

Go whiteknight elsewhere. Rittenhouse is someone that shoud go straight to not a nice place.
Rittenhouse? The new Secretary of the Interior Project it’s-okay-to-shoot-people Rittenhouse? That’s on January 8th.
They are going to be everywhere now. Anything they don’t like is open season.
Yep, that’s where we’re going to be.
The AP hasn’t yet called any of the Blue Wall states. Have any other outlets done so?
Pennsylvania is out of runway as far as I can determine.
I feel for you, brother. In another thread I said I’m glad I’m
I totally forgot
This is the result I’ve been expecting for weeks, and I stood by it a few days ago. I really, really hate being right, and take absolutely no pleasure from it. I was confident Trump would pull it out, exactly as is happening, and I’m still nauseous and light-headed.
But this is why my wife and I left the U.S. in 2017. The country is just irretrievably broken.
Time to pick up the pace on my language lessons.
Where did you go? We are also thinking of leaving this authoritarian leaning shit-hole?
By my rough math there are about 600k votes yet to be counted in PA. The problem is Harris needs most of them and I don’t think she’s going to get the number she needs here.
Trump has a big lead in MI but only 66% of the vote is counted there.
WI shows as 88% counted and Trump is up by ~129k.
AZ has been stuck on 51% for hours with Trump having only about 28k more there.
NV went from 0 to 75% as soon as they started counting but got stuck there for a long time. Trump is currently up by about 40k with 77% counted.
Pennsylvania
93% in
6,532K votes in
So ball park 490k remaining
Trump leads by 196 k
Harris needs 70% of the remaining votes
Sigh
What I can’t get over is Trump picking up another 4% in the popular vote. Why would so many flip from Biden to Trump?
74% now
I’ve explained it all
I’m not in the US, as many here know. (For those who don’t, I’m in Canada.) But I am seriously reconsidering visiting the US for the next while. Not necessarily because of Trump as President, but because I’d rather not get discussing US politics in a sports bar. I typically don’t, but in the past, when such discussions have turned to US politics, I’ve always found it a good time to go to the restroom. And I don’t plan on spending my vacation in a restroom.
I’m in Luxembourg, in the heart of the EU. If you have a financial background combined with technology skills, you have a head start on a job search. If you have those and are also fluent in French, you’re basically a shoo-in. If you don’t tick any of those boxes, Luxembourg will not be a good option to investigate.
I don’t think so. Explained some, not all.
Canada and Mexico are going to be overflowing. PLEASE TAKE US IN!
Because Joe Biden is very unpopular and most Americans believe the country has gone in the wrong direction during his presidency.
This has happened all over the world in the last couple of years. That it was only a 4% swing is probably because of the USA being in better shape than other countries and Donald Trump being pretty toxic himself.
This is a normal election result for an abnormal candidate.
