Electrical bone growth stimulator: find it a home?

Six years ago yesterday, I broke my left leg into a bunch of pieces, which stubbornly refused to heal at all for many, many months. I didn’t want to do bone graft surgery, so my doc decided to try an electronic bone growth stimulator (the EBI Bone Healing System, Model 1200, to be precise). The darn thing seemed to work, because the bone finally started growing, and I didn’t end up needing the surgery.

The gadget itself has a plug-in charging unit, and the stimulator itself is about the size of a Walkman: it’s worn on a belt around the waist, and there is a bendable ring which you wrap around the fracture site, with a cord connecting the ring to the battery pack. It was rented for me by my HMO at the time, which is now basically defunct. The battery needs to be replaced, but I’m sure the machine was insanely expensive, and I’d like to give it to someone who can make use of it. Does anyone know a not-for- profit or something that would take such a donation?
