Electronica - 68000 pinout in PQFP?

Hi all,

I’m hoping that the random brains on here can help. I have an arcade PCB which uses a ‘slightly’ custom[1] motorola 68000 CPU. It’s packaged in a 64 pin plastic quad flat package format. I believe that Motorola or Freescale produced a 68k in this form factor but I can’t find a datasheet detailing the pinout.

I’ve tried the usual datasheet places. Anybody got a datasheet mother lode that I may not have found?

I’ve started deriving a partial pinout following the traces through some buffers to EPROM sockets. Will post them once verified.

thanks,
Tim

[1] The board is a Data East Dark Seal and the CPU is rebadged as a DECO part. Nothing I’ve seen indicates this is a respin - just a relabel.

“FU” suffix

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Out of interest what search term did you use?

ETA: Damn, late to the party.

Me, I searched for “MC68000 64-pin QFP” without the quotes.

Also, Motorola Semiconductor is now called Freescale Semiconductor. It was on their own website the whole time!

Thank you both very much. I’m going to plead temporary insanity :). I’d been searching whilst hooking up my logic analyser and somewhere around the 30th channel I think I lost my mind.

I first determined that the correct suffix was “FU”, and then searched for “68000 FU” the link was on the 2nd or 3rd page.
Actually, I first searched my library, but I must have finally tossed my 68000 books…
