In August some PBS stations will carry a concert by the recently-reformed Electric Light Orchestra. Unfortunately, my local station AND my satellite provider have chosen NOT to air it. Could I get some Doper to check his/her local PBS station’s schedule for August and let me know via e-mail?

I’ll keep an eye out but haven’t heard about it here. If it’s a reformed group my guess would be ELO pt. II as the recent ELO album was really Jeff solo. I have seen Pt. II live, a few years ago in Tucson and they were good but it wasn’t the same.
I bet you’re the only other person on the board who has all the original group albums on vinyl

aaawww, i usta have a few o them albums. great great 70s band, great singles, living thing, strange magic, tons of others.
the first rock and roll i remember is seeing elo on american bandstand doing roll over beethoven. i was five or six. it kicked my ass.
the giants radio network started using fire on high this year. great great tune! great drum sound, still gives me chills.
