I got an email notification about a new post on an old thread, but when I opened the thread (this one http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=14611534#post14611534) there was no new post. Was it deleted?
The only posts that are outright deleted are spam.
So are the accompanying posts of “Reported”, usually.
The last post was deleted as spam, yes. I actually don’t think it was spam, so I’ve restored it.
Hunh. That’s weird. Now the new post is there. May be a glitch on my system. Sorry about that.
