Emily or Zooey?

Just wanted to add that Banks played Jeff Bridges’ wife in Seabiscuit.

I think she’s great, too, and I keep hoping they’ll expand her role in the Spider-man movies.

Zooey’s less bland-looking than Emily, IMHO. I wouldn’t recognize Emily on the street, but I’d certainly do a double-take if Zooey walked by.
Luke or Owen? Luke’s more my type.

Jake or Maggie? I appreciate Maggie’s gorgeousness and drool all over Jake.

Rob or Chad? Not big fans of either.

Which Baldwin? Alec’s the one I’m most familiar with.

Rosanna, Patricia, Alexis or David? Can’t say one way or the other.

John or Joan? Definitely John.

Dennis or Randy? Dennis.

Zooey – it’s her great big googly eyes.

:smack: Oops. Emily was in Spiderman II. She was the receptionist who refused to pay for the pizzas at the beginning. Not JJJ’s receptionist. I stand (well, sit, actually) corrected. If Emily Deschanel and Elizabeth Banks wish to take me to task on the issue, well, I’ll take my medicine like a man.

More importantly, how is it pronounced? duh-shann-el or duh-skan-el? Or Frenchified? day sha NEL?

Wwwwow. This is so … explicit.

Zooey.

Was that her actual singing voice in Elf? If so… wow.

It was. She’s amazing!

Rosanna, Patricia, Alexis or David? Go rent “The Wrong Man,” then let me know (applies to heterosexual males only; the effect on anyone else is less predictable).

Goldie Hawn or Kate Hudson or Kurt Russell?

Kate for me all the way.

OK, I can see a definite family resemblence, there. They’re both cute, and cute in much the same ways. But Zooey seems to smile more, which gives her an edge (though that might just reflect the roles they’ve played).

Zooey’s got big, dreamy moon eyes, so I’m tempted to pick her. But then I think about Emily’s piercing blue eyes and elegant cheekbones, so I want to pick her instead. Then I’m reminded of Zooey’s throaty, captivating singing voice, and I fall in love with her. But then I think about how Emily’s smile breaks through her icy TV persona, and I find myself wanting to drown in her blue eyes again. Then…

Aw, nuts. Who am I kidding? They’re both way out of my league.

I just saw “Hitchhiker’s” so I thought I could ressurect this thread from a position of authority. Except I can’t. Objectively, Emily, but Zooey is so damned CUTE!

See? This is why I’d hate to choose between the two.

Of course, I’d love to give it a shot.

Zooey. Next question.

Both. At the same time.

However, Emily all the way. She’s a classic beauty, much like Grace Kelly. That face should be copied to marble.

It’s tough, but I’d have to say Zooey. She’s a geek’s dream come true – amazingly cute, somewhat geeky, and not entirely unobtainable. Emily’s hot, no doubt, but Zooey is the one I could actually imagine myself asking out . . . and oh, what a happy woman I would make her.

What? A man can dream, can’t he?

Followup: Mary-Ann, Jeannie, or Gidget? (Ah, the Holy Trifecta of my misspent youth of summer re-runs.) We can toss in Barbara Feldon, too, if that’ll shake anyone’s tree.

Oh, and for the OP, can’t I have 'em both, or is that too creepy? Actually, I’ve seen them both IRL and neither looks all that special, but that’s not really what it’s all about, is it?

If I had it to do all over again, I’d do it all over Joan Cusack.

Showing my age, Angela beats Veronica all hollow. Angela we’ve all (by the looks of the members of the SDMB) seen on The X Files and she didn’t hold up but I saw Angela on Oprah or Maury a few yeas back and though she’s been running a craft store or something forever my 5-yr-old mind watching Make Room for Daddy had some damned good taste.
