Which TV husband or wife would you most want as your spouse?

This took about a half-second of thought for me:

Laura Petrie

It occurred to me as I was watching an episode of The Dick Van Dyke show today. She’s cute as a button but she’s also wicked sexy; not an easy combo to pull off.

Plus, she’s fun, funny, energetic, and talented. And she has a dancer’s flexibility.
mmm

Gomez Adams.

Cute, intelligent, witty, good with a sword, and adored his wife.

Gloria is mine. Now no one else can have her.

(that’s Sofia Vergara from Modern Family).

Seconded.

You have excellent taste, but next time don’t be so indecisive.

She’s so far out in front, I can’t even think of a runner up right now.

You know, I never would have thought of him, but now that you mention him, yeah, he might be the one. Of course, being Gomez, he’d never leave Morticia so I’d have to bump her off.

And of course, when mentioning his fine qualities, there’s also rich.

Laura Petrie, hands down.

It must have taken some time for me to arrive at that conclusion, but it was nowhere near half a second.

Didn’t Bailey Quarters get married. Please, Og, tell me Bailey can be my wife!!!

SFC Schwartz

Carol Post (Wilbur’s wife on Mr. Ed)

Samantha Stephens. Beautiful, intelligent, charming, vivacious, and can make any problems go away with a wiggle of her nose. What’s not to love?

(OK, your in-laws would be a serious pain, but then again…whose aren’t?)

Laura is going to be really funny with about 100 husbands running around the house.

Hey! I’ve got an idea for a sitcom…

Actually, from what I’ve seen, Laura Petrie couldn’t handle the slightest problem at home without calling up Rob at work to whimper about it. “Oh Rob!!” I’m not a man, but that would strike me as incredibly annoying after awhile.

As for me, give me Adam Cartwright. He gets broody now and then, but whatta dish. Plus he’s all sophisticated and stuff. And living on the Ponderosa would be heaven.

Stole my answer.

I’m glad you clarified because my immediate thought here was Gloria Stivic.

That’s true, I hadn’t thought of that.

My updated pro/con list now stands at 878 reasons for, 1 reason agin.
mmm

I’d probably go with Lily Aldrin from How I Met Your Mother as played by Alyson Hannigan.

Sally McMillan from McMillan and wife. She was hot and fun. And I know she wasnt getting what she needed from Rock Hudson.

Coach Eric Taylor from Friday Night Lights…but only if I can have Tami Taylor too!

Jeannie from “I Dream of Jeannie.” (She counts because she married Tony in the final season, the “Completely out of ideas” season.) Fun, upbeat, happy, adores her liberator and has magic powers out the wazoo. Doesn’t even have to wriggle her nose.

Gary Sandy. That is, Andy on WKRP in Cincinnatti. I have never seen any other TV actor who makes me so weak in the knees. I picture us married, (picture getting all wavery here like when they show a dream sequence) him quitting the radio station, maybe now doing a satellite radio show from our ranch. We go live out west and spend time riding our beautiful horses along the beach at Malibu, at sunset…

I will fight you to the death for her.
