Salt vampire? Ick. I still thought she was hot in that evolution episode but they’re pushing it now. Why didn’t they make Archer into a monster? His nose and brow ridge are already hideously deformed… he’s halfway there!
Hey guy, put your criticisms outside a spoiler box so we can discuss them.
How long after he episode airs should one use a box?
This kind of plot is about clues and being fooled or not. Do you complain because you figure out Agatha Christie?
There were various clues. Trip told Phlox “You have to check this”, not “You or T’Pol”.
Why didn’t she try and take the weapon away from him?
His hallucinations were a play within a play. T’Pol knows he’s hallucinating, and she is helping him go to warp; there fore Phlox thinks that part is not an hallucination.
Which was my first clue. All the she not touching anything stuff like Sixth Sense was a dead give away.
Still, I thought the end twist was cool, even though we saw it coming. Why? Because we tend to get a good feeling trying to figure out mysteries, they didn’t “telegraph” it (you DO have to know the show and be familiar with similar twisty movies and TV shows), she acted very much like what we’ve come to see about her in the series (namely, slightly aloof but friendly), and lastly, Phlox’ own reaction to seeing the sedated ultra fine ass girl. A moment only of surprise, followed by a calm acceptance like it’s just what he had been expecting in the back of his mind, JUST LIKE US.
That’s why I gave it a nudge up based on the ending. It was a nod, more or less, to us know-it-all fans. Good job.
OK. I never for one second thought that the “red T’Pol” was anything but a figment of Phlox’s imagination. Before he put Archer under, Archer was explicit about how he felt comfortable turning the ship over to Phlox. Had T’Pol been kept awake, the ship would have been turned over to her. Case closed.
Stupid episode. Seen it all before.
Because
T’Pol was with him, looking at the sensor readings and concurring with his findings, which confirmed (to Phlox) that he wasn’t hallucinating them.
Of course, the fact that he was also hallucinating T’Pol kinda throws a monkey wrench into that assessment.
I wasn’t fooled. Mostly cuz i haven’t seen the episode yet.
I just wanted to post again.
I’m posting again because you’re posting again.
Oh yeah? Well, I’m gonna post again!!!
So There!

If the dubious icon weren’t broken, right now would be an opportune moment to use it.
(That was me being a sheep but not wanting to appear to be one)
Oh LORD!
Please heal our icon!
GUIDE my hand TO DO your will, OH MY LORD!
let us SEE your power!
HEAL our icon!
Please heal the little Jewish guy too while you’re at it.
He’s all broken but still smiling, just like Job. He believes!

Are there any Trek chronologies out there that take the events of Enterprise into account, and try to reconcile them with the previously established canon? (Or at least try to point out the contradictions?)
I’ve never seen one.
Is there an echo (1) in here?
I looked when you asked, but…
two of my best old links are now dead, and the search has only found whining, no real efforts. Too bad about my dead Trekker timeline pages.
By the way, anyone want to see an example of including Star Trek in a deep theological discussion?
Funny thing is, the Dope thread was quite well behaved and VERY informative. The PP thread devolved into an insult-a-rama. ( no board warring, please. this is for entertainment purposes only)
Do you think they’ll show The Passion of the Christ on Enterprise’s movie night?
Shoot, they’ll probabbly FIND him.
On Xindi Prime!
If they did and T’Pol remarked on how illogical it was, Enterprise would be my all time favorite show.
