Enterprise Kir'Shara Spoilers

Or, Plant goes digital.
I began recording from the Crewman Daniels satellite to a DVD recorder.
Oh, my. Much better than my VHS recorder.

I wish we knew a motive for V’Los. Is he just a Republican, or what?
Ending mostly as expected. I noticed that only the first episode of this arc was written by Reeves-Stevens. Maybe that’s why the name dropping ceased. They are “Executive Story Editors”.

Archer kicks ass with a lurpa. That and the neck pinch resumably come from Surak. Reminds me of Young Frankenstein.
Vulcan Nerd Boy makes you wonder if Vulcan pimples are green.

Archer kicks ass with a loofa? Another shower scene? Don’t they know the November sweeps are over?

I actually made sure the VCR was set up last night. Why couldn’t this show be this good two years ago?

By the way, that little cutie in the 1978 shag is T’Pau? What happened to the Russian Yiddische accent she had in the original series and first movie? I suppose if you live that long you go through a bunch of different accents.

Proof that I’m a bigger geek than I will admit to: I stumbled on a discussion of the same topic on a Trek board. (reading) Those guys are pathetic. And WRONG! I should join just so I can tell them how wrong they are.

Something happens to take her from being happy happy joy joy Let’s Be Pals to “Are our ceremonies for outworlds?” in a hundred and fifty years.

I thought the T-Rexes in F-16s scene was a little over the top, though. How they gonna fly 'em? Their arms are too short to reach the stick, fer crying out loud!

Stay on target…

You record to DVDs? I’ll take back everything I ever said about you if you send me copies.

Okay, most things. Uh… some things.

A couple things?

Was there any Hoshi?

Yeah, shes naked in most scenes and says things like “We’re being hailed. Damn, I wish Aes were here. That hot stud rocks my world!”

So, how much will you pay for these CDs?

They had telepathically trained duck billed platypuses (platypi?) working the controls that were out of their reach.

Check out the guy on the lower right:

Damn! That’s one scary looking platypus!

IT’S ON!

Teaser/recap:

The Vulcans battle display is cool. Just like last week.

How could an Andorian “slip in” to spy on Vulcans?

WMDs vs evidence of WMDs, just like last week. Which I pointed out last week in about post #10 but was ignored until it was brought up on page three like it was a new idea! :dubious: Why, I oughtta…

Yup, as good in quality as the other two. Archer with jumpkick action. Spaceships with spacefight action. Andorians with uhhh, blue action?

and in its conclusion everythings groovy in the pre-Federation. Well, except of course for the

Romulans!

Don’t toy with me. I have a bottle of Ortho and I am not afraid to use it.

And pay? What’s that? You mean you want money? Uh… let me get back to you on that . . .

In all seriousness (especially since I’m the odd man out in that I can’t watch and comment and am kept mostly in joke mode), this three-parter sounds really interesting and I look forward to seeing it in a couple months. While the first two seasons were dreck (or so I’m told) and the third was good but flawed, it seems like it’s really starting to come into its own now. I doubt it will ever be good enough to shake its image as the worst Trek (excepting maybe Voyager) but DS9 is often overlooked in favor of TNG and TOS and it’s easily on their level as well. Recognition is nice but hardly required.

God, Buddha, Shiva, YHWH, and Allah bless Manny Coto.

Maybe it’s a Romulan Platypus.

They don’t go anywhere with the Xindi Weapons. We never find out what gives with V’Los dammit.

Act I:

More Syrrannites? Yeah, in the mountains.

Trip is good! Handled Malcolm’s concerns well.

Yeay, Schran!

What is wrong with Soval’s right ear? Near the tip is either a scar or a not put on right prosthetic.

I was chosen! Wah… So, I have to do it.

I’m liking the exterior views of the Vulcan’s architecture.

Why does the Vulcan conference hall have a picture from the back of the Dollar Bill on it?

So, the low volume talking dosen’t get transmitted? Was Hoshi watching closely, opening and closing the channel? Or was it yet another example of Trek communication nit #1079?

Soval and Schran are close talkers.

Girl Vulcan on Girl Vulcan action! Yeay! T’Pau is so CUTE!

Kidnapped!

AND ANOTHER DAMN PREVIEW OF AN UPCOMING SCENE!!! Who can I write to (or call) about this SHIT!?

I am offering commercial free Canadian versions on CD for a small fee to those who will become my sock puppet bitches.

Act II:

What the hell are those giant nipple things in the Emotion Chair room?

Trip rocks!

Give him tri-ox! Sheesh…

Ah… there will be many who say they are the Christ in the time of the end…

The Soval vs Shran scene is really good. I mean, really good.

The Kir’Shara fight scene was well done, too.

Again!?

Act III:
Yeay, Cap’n Tucker!

I gots ta find her!

They are definitelt setting up for the Federation founding arc. Esp with that sickbay scene.

Quantum is enjoying the neck pinch action.

Buzzer alarm - “What is it?” - “Some sort of alarm, sir.”

Climax:
Deploying the fleets! Battle of Jutland?

How could V’Las have been both so stupid and so bad?

T’Pol is going through the Big D and I don’t mean Dallas!

The preist was a very interesting looking fellow.

Definitely a setup for the Fed arc.

No real denoument, but a nice shocker at the end.

Romulans! (Aes should like this when he finally gets to see it.)

Romulans? How were they introduced? Was canon violated? I want them involved but I’d prefer for them to be kept unmasked until “Balance of Terror”. Adds an aura of intrigue to an already interesting enemy.

The first episode of this arc sucked so much I didn’t watch the second. This one was great. Archer’s still a little wooden, but T’Pol has really come into her own. Was it just me or did she seem more Vulcan after the mind meld?

“They’ve got weapons of mass destruction! We must invade!” Uh huh. Sure. Interesting subtext there, especially considering Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle, Wolfowitz et. al. were called “The Vulcans” during the Regan administraion…

Okay, by now half the country has seen it, and “Spoilers” is in the title, so…

They are introduced as a subplot backstory type thing. Arguing with V’Las about the plan they had…

No Humans saw them.

They are hidden even from the Vulcans it seems.

It was a 45 second or so conversation and only about 10 secs of face view.

They are made up as late TNG and current movies.
