Enterprise Home spoilers

Things are looking up. Not much violence; nothing blows up. More like The West Wing tonight with interaction between characters.

An interesting episode, in which we discover that Vulcan parent’s harp at their children and Phlox can clear a bar room faster than “ ’scuse me, I’m sick!”

Sorely needed character development for Archer, and some sort of development for T’Pol and Tucker, unfortunately involving a cliff hanger. I hope this isn’t going to be a frequent thing. It could be like the serial [Zombies of the Stratosphere](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045352/fullcredits).

Archer’s romantic interest Erika is a rather normal looking person. She command’s Enterprise sister ship we saw last week. I’m impressed. Koss is, well, homely. The question of course is whether he and Trip will go at it with those big Q-Tips and nets and stuff that Kirk found himself fighting Spock with. “To the death? Excuse me?” But we must wait until next week. Maybe Koss will die of goofiness by then.

Just jumping in so as to have notification tomorrow.

I’m only wondering why Trip would rather go to Vulcan than hang out and get some R&R on Earth for a while.

His home town was vaporized by the Xindi.

I watched it again with Mrs. Plant. I thought she would enjoy it. Vulcan weddings. Archer romance. "I was hoping he was dead.
She hated it. She cursed and screamed. At one point I feared that she would through the cat at the television set.
Neither Trip nor I understand the fairer sex.

This season is supposed to have a series of mini arcs. One them being a bunch of Vulcan stuff, another being a Data ancestor involved with Khan, and a long (macro?) arc about the foundation of the Federation.

You married a Klingon?

*I would pay for a vid of that! ;j

Yes, I remember. I just thought he’d do what he’d said he’d do: go lie around on various beaches.
Never mind. It’s about time we got back to Vulcan anyhow.

Just bumping this one back into a higher position…

Will be back in several hours.

Mrs. Plant wants to watch more West Wing CDs.
For G-d’s sake, post something.
“Sorry dear, I have to answer my friends…”

I approve of the ep.

Kind of like Family from TNG.

But not quite. The xenophobia was a good touch. As was the healing the rift dealy with the Vulcan Master and Quantum.

Linda’s legs were a nice scene.

Nits:

Star Wars denoument in the teaser. Bleah!

Puffer face!? Puh-leeze!

Watching The Ring right now with a couple of geeks. These may be my last words…

I’m not sure this one’s a cliffhanger. Maybe it is, but I think we didn’t see the rest of the wedding because, well, it’d be boring. It was nice to not see the expected “fight to the death” or last-second objection hijinks.

I guess there will be plenty of comparisons made to TNG’s “Family”. This one comes off a lot better… though the older episode has one thing going for it, at least: Captain Picard, plastered.

Someone give a synopsis for the UPN-less amongst us. And don’t quote the OP either… that was as vague as any teaser.

By the way, viva, the tapes were in my mailbox this morning and I watched them while at work. The tape with Storm Front Part 2 was really borked and was skipping all over the place though. And I was missing the 8/15 Joan.

Episodes were okay but I was a little distracted due to the jumping around though. Really, the only thing I specifically remember liking was Hoshi running across the bridge to hug Archer when he came on deck. What a sweet girl.

I miss Tars. And Kn*ckers.

I figured it out…there will be a drive by on Mount Selaya from a Ford F-100 with Florida plates.
^:dubious:^

Wow. That was pretty good. I really liked the DVD extras.

Wait a minute, the phone’s ringing. BRB.

Enterprise comes home to a hero’s welcome.
Earth has feared that the Xindi will show up and finish the job.
Ericka somebody, Archer’s Old Flame commands the sister ship of Enterprise.
Archer climbs a mountain to get away from people. She follows. He has a bad dream. They Do The Deed.
Phlox, Malcolm and Travis get in a bar fight with xenophobic rednecks. Phlox puffs his face up like an adder and scares the rednecks.
Trip is invited to Vulcan with T’Pol. “My home town doesn’t exist anymore.”
T’Pol’s mommy bitches a lot. Koss, the guy T’Pol was engaged to shows up. Mama T’Pol quit the Vulcan science academy 'cause she was gonna be fired regarding T’Pols and Enterprise helping the Andorians in the Vulcan Temple Incident.
She is surprised that a smelly emotional monkey like Trip can repair her kitchen appliances.
T’Pol agrees to marry Vulcan Nerd Boy to reinstate Mama. Trip is pissed. He shows up for the wedding anyway. (This is where Mrs. Plant began screaming, rending her garments and throwing felines at the television set. Television sets always land on their feet, but I digress.) The Vulcan priest repeats the words from Amok Time “This comes to us from ages past” and…
To Be Continued.

I suppose it’s too much to hope for that her betrothed wants to dispute the marriage, making her fight to the death whereupon she loses to Hoshi, isn’t it?

I forgot to mention character development in Archer…He begins to feel Enterprise invited an attack on Earth by boldly going where no man has gone before; he first didn’t want weapons on a vessel of exploration, but now wants more.

As to your post…do you want Koss to get Hoshi, Trip to get T’Pol, T’Pol to get Hoshi, Koss to get Trip, or what permutation of the above?

I’m not sure I want to know.

I want T’Pol gone, preferably by Hoshi’s hand. Or Malcolm’s phase pistol.

I don’t know what’s up with those tapes, Aes…They don’t skip here unless I play them in my crappy VCR. And they’re new, too.

Pretty good one overall, with the xenophobia, the Vulcan business, and Archer’s rock-climbing angst-relief. Too bad they were trying to cram it all into one episode, though. It really needs a part two.

It’s about time we saw T’Pol’s family. …but I still don’t understand why Trip couldn’t have gone to visit his nephew; he must have another sibling, unless Lizzie was the kid’s mother…but he was going to school in Ireland. Am I remembering this correctly? Can I just blame it all on the writers?

Too bad Hoshi got short shrift again. Poor Phlox…He may not go planetside to Terra again any time soon.

Did Porthos get to go down there and run around, poor thing?

Bakula’s got nice legs.

But day-amn, Blalock needs to eat something besides yogurt and berries all day. She is so bony you could play “Chopsticks” on her collarbone and breastplates.

I about fainted when Soval said he was wrong.

I expect more repercussions for Archer’s conduct over the past year. But I probably expect a bit too much. There is a lot in those files. I’ll say it again: they needed to make this at least two parts.

Aes, was the other tape okay? I am mailing another Saturday or maybe two on Monday.

Why the heck couldn’t they ever say Archer’s lady pal’s name out loud?

Okay, it’s the Spiner arc next week and the week after that, and then some more. Are you ready?

One more thing, A: Was the borky tape the 8-hr. one? That could be the problem. All the others I’m using are the 6 hr. ones.
I still want to see Mayweather and Hoshi together.
