ENTERPRISE - "The Seventh" (spoilers)

Well, someone’s gotta start it. The Deer Hunter. Coming Home. That TNG episode about the IRA.

Still, I liked it.

if anyone already started a thread, I’ll jump to that one. (I searched 1st, I’m learnin’ I am!)

I was looking for wearia and an Enterprise thread earlier, but I don’t believe there was one.

I’ll be back after Twilight Zone—must wait another hour and 10 minutes for Archer and Co.

That tavern was interesting. Kind of a mix of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

I can’t wait to go skiing.

In Scandanavian lands, they pronounce skiing as shee-ing

I think they’re full of skit

Damn you, Silik, you ugly bastard Suliban! (I blame him for that double post. )

to NCB:

How does Trip do when he has to fill in as Cap’n?

I can read the spoilers, but I haven’t figured out to make them yet. Argh! [newbieplea] someone give/show me a link? [/newbieplea]
so,

to lostwages,

He lies. And not very convincingly. “I don’t work well under pressure.”

Well, that didn’t exactly suck, but Firefly and Andromeda were better.

Were the phase pistols on stun? They didn’t mar the barrells they hit, and Whois was shot in the back and apparently stunned. Why was he afraid the fire would damage the toxins?

Berman and Braga seem to have forgotten that Vulcans are stronger than humans. He could have ripped the leg off the table.

ok

here goes

I figgered it out all by meself. kool…

WooHoo!

At least this time, someone got shot

carniverousplant, Vulcans strength is in their ear tips

“I figgered it out all by meself. kool…”

That’s a spoiler?

Well then he could have broken the table with the jaw bone of an ass.

yeah, that first spoiler was me being excited that I actually figured out how to do one. I’m still kind of new here and I never read instructions

back to ENT

Any women in that tavern? I didn’t see any. OK, recognize any. And why do they make so many really tall aliens?

Hey I figured carnivorousplant had this one. He’s starting to slack off… Oh well, I’ll get next weeks ;).

Well it was better than Marauders. Still I don’t see the hesitation with shooting the guy, I mean they have stun settings geez… However I’m glad that we’re starting to see at least some acting from T’Pol. Well, not good acting but acting all the same.

** NoClueBoy** there was a woman at one of the tables gambling. She was throwing coins into a pile as the camera panned around.

Blame the alien’s parents, I suppose.

NoClueBoy , it took me a while to figure out the spoiler code too. You might have to change your username to GotAClueBoy!
(I’m just funnin’–you know that.)

Not great but not bad. I liked Bruce Davison’s delivery, and seeing a more vulnerable side of T’Pol for a change.

I would have stopped eating right along with Trip if somebody started discussing intestinal side effects at the dinner table. (It was a bad flashback for me—we have medical folks in the family and they pull that trick all the time.)

Next week’s ep. looks like rough stuff–and perhaps an exploration of why we mustn’t contaminate the primitives with our wizardry. Might be good.

OK, this one didn’t totally blow chunks or anything.

However, one point–How is “It’s a matter of honor” a Vulcan attitude to take? Sounds very Klingon to me. And clearly it wasn’t the rational thing to do–they obviously should have sent some remorseless cold-blooded Vulcan security goon instead of someone who was so, ah, emotionally involved in the matter. You’d think the Vulcans of all people would know that.

Also, if I were Cap’n Trip, I’d have asked the Doctor “Well, what are the sympoms of the darned virus?” If the virus has a 10% fatality rate or something then giving the crew a case of the runs is a no-brainer.

Yeah, the matter of honor thing got me, too.

And the last line was a real gagger. “if you ever need someone you can trust” - Bleck. Barney the Dinosaur is less sickening.

My other whinge is that you could SO see it coming - Ex-Vulcan Dude pretends to be all sweet and innocent, but we knew he was a crook all along. More interesting if he was a good guy and she shot him anyway. Heehee.

Overall, though, thumbs up for this one. Better than recent weeks. Archer was more sensible and less bitchy than usual, which was nice to see. I don’t like T’Pol, but that’s just a matter of personal preference.

Nice to see Travis get some airtime, BTW.

Sounds logical.

My Canada TV machine is in the shop, so I have to watch it on a pizza dish like you…people.

Yeah, but what was this not telling Trip stuff?
Did he promise T’Pol not to tell and it was edited out?
Did I miss it when I wan’t paying attention during a crass commercial message? (Which ain’t on Canadian TV, BTW)
Does my !@#$%^&* pizza dish not get a big enough picture to show that?

And kn(ten o’clock scholar)ckers, if you’d post on time I wouldn’t have to do two in a row and hack of the mods.

Sheesh.
