Enterprise: North Star Spoilers

Holy kow, Aes: Crewman Daniels invaded Friends tonight.

His hair is lighter but he still has those eyes.

viva likes Daniels! viva likes Daniels!:stuck_out_tongue:

Jack Daniels?
I meant that his eyes are kinda freaky. Now you probably think I like freaky eyes.

Never mind. I can’t win.

The new episode or the repeat?

The new one.
I’ll get you the other shows tomorrow night.

Well, the newborn was played by Trip-lets. (Really.) Unfortunately, newly birthed Hoo-mans can’t do much more than flail. Would that satisfy you?

The guy in the Children’s Fund building was Daniels?

No no no –

The President of Earth (who was originally the Vice President of Earth until he secretly assassinated the sitting President) would use the Xindi attack to declare Martial Law, thus forcing Captain Archer to declare Independence for the U.S.S. Enterprise. Then, with the help of the Vulcans, the Enterprise crew would convince the Xindi to “get the hell out of our galaxy,” only to be left with the daunting task of re-establishing a Constitutional government on Earth. After being captured, tortured, and rescued, Archer will finally liberate Earth and become the first President of the new United Federation of Planets.

And then we’d have to sit around and slog through an entire dull 5th season before getting to see “Sleeping in Light.”

Sleeping in a thousand points of Light.

The memoirs of James T. Kirk: Sleeping with the Enemy.

Sleeping with the Green Enemy OR That…Thing…just killed one of my crew!

There was a Star Trek: TOS category on Jeopardy the other day.
I’ve only seen one episode of it and I was able to get right all the questions in the category. So turns out these threads aren’t pointless after all.

since we’re educational now, can we get federal funding for the Enterprise threads? I got a hankering to do some embezzeling!

Yes. If his hair had been smoothed down and darker, you would have noticed him right away.

Just saw Master and Commander today. Rocked. Lucky Jack Aubrey could teach Archer a thing or three about being a captain. Then again, Archer could benefit from any tutoring at all.

Did Lucky Jack go off on a speech about how one day there will be some sort of Directive for dealing with alien contact?

No, but he did give a speech that went like this:

“Do you want the fucking Xindi to blow up all your shit?”
Crew: NOOOOOO!

“Do you want your kids to grow up speaking Vulcan?”
Crew: NOOOOOOOOOOO!

“Do you want to get off this ship full of sweaty men and boys and go find some women?”
Crew: Nnnn—Uh…Um…

He also bickered with the ship’s doctor, laid down the law when necessary although he didn’t enjoy it, and warned a midshipman not to get too friendly with the crew because they’d see it as weakness and despise him for it later.

It was cool.

But they leave out Marturin’s espionage, and Diana and Sophie.
Master and Commander was the first book, Far Side of the World the tenth. Jack is a dummy on land, and Marturin is an idiot about things nautical.
Grumble, gumble.

They’re saving all that stuff for the sequels.

It’s based on a series of books?

How can you have a sequal when you cover the first twn in a single movie?
