Doesn’t matter. If it does well enough, they’ll make more. There’s plenty in the series that they can cull.
Aes: Yes, 20 books or so, plus recipe guides, vocabulary guides, and music.

No technical manuals? Great works of literature translated into pirate? Cartoons? Action figures? Slash??
Posers.
Aubrey/Maturin slash??
It’s probably out there somewhere.
Oh, crap.
It is.
Aes: There are 20, from Master and Commander to Blue at the Mizzen.
Go forth and read.
I’m not a big fan of pirates. I’ll stick to my alt-history and sci-fi novels, thanks.
Yeah, sure, that’s what they all say – until they see that Star Trek animated series episode about the Pirates of Orion!
You should read the TOS novel, Prime Directive. Chekov and Sulu are part of an Orion Slaver’s crew for a good portion of it. Great book.
It ain’t pirates, Aes. It’s the Napoleonic wars.
It doesn’t involve America?! It isn’t interesting then!
I think the War of 1812 comes in to the Napoleonic Wars somewhere or other…
Damn it! I don’t wanna read the books! Quit making me scrounge up excuses! Argh!
Der… that was the Brits, you ninny!
I’m not sure how they got New Orleans away from the Spanish, though…
Yes, the Spanish had it after the French.
Funny thing, too. The Battle of New Orleans took place in 1815, after a peace accord was met. But, it still counts as the last battle of the War of 1812.
Talk about slow mail.
Got the tape today, viva. Thanks.
By the way, I appreciate you sending them priority now but you don’t need to waste the extra money if you don’t want to.
Well, Tchaikovsky did write his 1812 Overture in celebration of Napoleon’s defeat in Russia.
Don’t forget what Francis Scott Key wrote during that odd war!
War of 1812
Another very cool 1812 site.
Star Trek
Saw the episode and somehow overcame my inherent cowboy bias to like it.
I forgot to take notes though. So no nitpicks even though I know I had some. Boo.
What in the hell are you going on about?
Isn’t this a thread about late eighteenth and early nineteenth century military conflicts?
Yeah, really. I mean, my hijack is so friggin’ obvious.
Captain Jack Aubrey kicks butt.
