Enterprise: Zero Hour spoilers.

Carniv, Lindsay Lohan is on the Tonight Show ight now. If’n yer still wondering who she is…

My spidey senses are tingling.

Yeah, sorry, I got the tape days ago and watched it immediately but forgot to comment and have now forgotten most of what I would have said.

And for the people in the shuttle (Trip and Travis?) to have recognized the layout of the city, it would’ve had to have (did I say that right? I’m sleepy) been in the present. So it’s either the 22nd Century or a gross coninuity error one.

As long as you didn’t make it with the cowpigsheep…

Trip and Travis said they recognized the city. What they saw was the bay, coastal outlines and the Golden Gate Bridge. The landscape wouldn’t (necessarily) have changed significantly if they had travelled into the past, so I wondered about the Bridge. Unfortunately, the Golden Gate was completed in 1937 so Bergama are off the hook there.

It could be either the altered past or altered present, but the outfits in the medical tent looked too WWII-ish. Past or Present, they would still have to travel into the past to correct the divergence - and the problem isn’t on November 12, 1955 this time!

From 1940 to 22Something, the city should have changed pretty drastically in size and layout. If nothing else, there would be a hell of a lot more larger buildings.

The view from Star Fleet headquaters in the TNG episodes and the movies shows the area looking remarkably unencumbered by tall buildings. Trip and Travis also broke through cloud cover and the arc could explain any desired landscaping or city changes away with that.

I’m voting for 1940s with a small contingent of aliens not known at all by the Allies and little known by the German population.

A lesser cheesy possibility is that Daniels gave Archer special contact lenses that let him see the Lectroids and plopped Enterprise down there to get rid of the small alien contingent and restore history to its rightful progression. But if they make out Hitler, Gehring, or Goebels to be an alien, I swear they’re gonna have to pay the doctor bills for me punching my fist through the TV set!

Well, it may be that Coto will have a bigger role. Nice!

You’d think they would notice the difference between shuttle pods and piston airplanes, so I’d say they were looking at geographic features.
There really isn’t enough to speculate on, especially since we don’t know if Berman would consider how a city would change over three hundred years.

I think it’s gonna suck.

Completely ignoring the conversation at hand, I was just asked by Gr8Kat if I would still want to work for her if her huband had to work the graveyard shift. My duties would change from waking her up in the morning, making her meals, and napping on the couch to just sleeping over to make sure she doesn’t have an accident during the night.

I wonder if I should accept. :dubious:

I think the answer lies in how able you are to prevent her from having an accident. Cleaning up an accident is one thing, but preventing one? Would this simply involve duct taping her up at night or is there more to it? Also, where is it you would be “sleeping”? {wink-wink-nudge-nudge-know-what-I-mean}

As disabled as she is, I think the term accident probably refers to diaper type incidents, if you know what I mean.

Someone in that position feels an incredible loss of dignity. So the question is, would you be able to afford her the human dignity she still deserves while doing the unpleasant tasks of clean up? This is no mere thought exercise. And it is not any slight on your character. But, care giving for elderly, infirm, or disabled people is a very tasking job, and requires a commitment level that is beyond some people. While I think I could do it for a loved one, I don’t think I would be too good in the patient/caregiver interaction.

YMMV

Either way, I wish you luck and am glad to see you relatively comfortable with where you are.

I think it already sucks. Now the question is whether it starts taking the skin off.

The question was wholly rhetorical as cleaning up any accidents is one of my job duties right now anyway and it’s something not completely unfamiliar considering I’ve had to help look after my handicapped sister for years. I just felt the need to brag about the possibility of getting paid to sleep. ;j

By the way, viva. I should be able to send your money order out today when **Kat ** and I go to Salem to watch Troy. I’m getting paid to watch that too.

Uh. That was me.

Oops.

Man, I read that five minutes ago and it still hurts.

Let’s go a little easier of the metaphors, ok?

Ow!

It puts the lotion on its skin…!

Sent the money off, viva. It’s a personal check from **Kat ** instead of an MO though. Just so you know.

*Troy * was good. Hector and Paris’ cousin, the Priestess of Apollo, (can’t remember her name and I somehow doubt she was in The Iliad anyway) was yummy.

Uuummmm.
Yummy priestessess

how does one stop spelling that word, anyhow?

Message received; will watch mail.

Syllabuses or syllabi?
