Entourage on HBO

I’ve enjoyed this show since it started, and was looking forward to this season. Haven’t been disappointed. The cameos are great. Busey being Busey, Hefner calling someone ‘Monkey Boy’, very nice. And of course, the women are pretty impressive.
While the others all have their moments, I think the two funniest are pretty consistently Piven & Dillon. They always make me laugh. Johnny Drama! Everything he does winds up pathetic.
And wow, was that Aquaman suit bad. I appreciate the effort some one took to create something that awful.
Did I see that they’re bringing back both the **Queen’s Boulevard ** director and Josh Weinstein this weekend?

I enjoyed last season and like this season so far too. You can always count on great characters in an HBO series.

It seems like they’ve made Vince’s character a lot smarter this season. Last time he was a loveable doofus, now he actually says some profound things every once in a while.

Haj

The women are impressive, you’re right. That “perfect 10” model that Eric slept with was hot. I heard Mandy Moore is going to be a regular cameo too - should be cool. And Amanda Peet was in one of the first episodes this season - I wonder if she’ll return?

Ooo, I like Mandy Moore, this could be fun. don’t forget the Jamie Pressley cameo too.

That’s right - I forgot about Jaime for a second. That was a good episode.

I think last night’s was my favorite so far though - love Shawna the publicist and was glad we saw more of her - she’s great with that accent and is so …abrasive. Also liked Ari’s slight meltdown in the shrink office and then again in his own office when he freaks out on the mail guy and fires him. Jeremy Piven has that role nailed - he’s so perfect for it. The end had me perplexed though - do you think Leo is going to get the lead instead?

It’s a great show. I was surprised that I like it as much as I do.

love this show, got hooked mid-season last year. This show is on my “must see” list as well.

Last night was a good ep. as well. Although I cant believe how fat Chris Penn is!

Who was the actress that made the cameo in last seasons finale? I can see her face, but I cant think of the name!!! arrggg!

Scarlett Johannson - right at the end when E got her on the phone for Vince - what a coup!

Do you know what club they were in at the end when the guy let them have Leo’s table? Looked cool.

If this thread is going to stick around week-after-week I really wish a Mod would fix the damn typo in the subject line…

Haven’t watched last nights show yet, gonna have to hit the TiVo tonite.

I watched this week’s episode last night. The show is definitely growing on me. They squeezed a lot of drama out of just the timing of the deals.

Not that I know how hollywood works, but the show “feels” honest. When word came in at the end that James Cameron was meeting with Di Caprio it was like a blow to the chest.

I also thought “The Comeback” – for the first time – was really good this week. It’s sort of held my interest so far, but this week it moved, and was really funny. Kudrow is doing a great job with that so far.

The Comeback really grates on my nerves. I can’t quite imagine that these two show’s audiences would feed off one another. Interesting to see that they are planning to move Entourage to Thursdays though. Kinda nice since Sundays were getting a little crowded, it’s nice to have some good TV competing with all the reality crap on Thursday.

Also, did you see Josh Wienstein’s arm candy? Hummina hummina.

Thought it was downright hilarious when the prick indy director got stuck at the rope at the club. Sweet justice. The guy has to be a blatant attempt to rip on Vincent Gallo, doncha think?

Loved seeing Ari in therapy too.

Don’t you mean later on Sunday nights? I read that they’re moving Six Feet Under back to Sundays (from Mondays) and bumping Entourage and The Comeback up to ten and 10:30 on Sundays too. I’m going to like it like this because it’s so many of my favorite shows on one night as opposed to splitting it up.

Trunk - I agree. I don’t know anything about the entertainment industry from personal experience but it just seems and feels true and like it’s a raw view of the workings of Hollywood.

Yeah, I got confused by the ad. Thursday they are rerunning all 4 episodes from this season. Then changing the timeslot for Sunday. I wish something would get moved off Sunday nights, my TiVo can’t hang.

Has anyone seen a preview for this SUnday’s episode? I haven’t yet - went to their website to look up info on it and instead read an article about Shawna - the publicist. Pretty good article actually. Her character on the show is great - I really wonder if she has that accent in real life.

Looks like Vince finds out about them talking to someone else, puts pressure on Ari to get a deal done. Ari ends up talking to former assistant (and former Eric’s girlfreind) Emily, who works for Cameron now

And as for Debi Mazar (Shauna), I think that’s probably pretty much her real accent. She’s sounded more or less just like that in everything I can think of. Quite distinctive. She may play it up for her roles, but it seems like she comes by it honest.

where is everyone? did y’all watch this past Sunday’s? It was intense - still funny but man, lots happened. Their budget - really causing tensions. But wow is Ari still en fuego - he’s so funny. And - it was great to see Emily again! I wonder if we’ll see her again this Sunday?

Yeah, another excellent Ep. This indy-director is pure fucking evil. Wonder if Cameron will actually make an appearance, or he’ll just be off screen the whole time.

Things certainly are getting heavy though. I sorta miss the episodes from season one with lots of gratuitous nudity and Val Kilmer cameos. Nothing deep, just sex, parties and laughs.

I dig the new stuff too, but I do hope we get a break every once in a while. I prefer to not feel like Vince’s career is on the presipice every week.

I always liked Emily, and I never really got why the dumped here, I can only assume it was just to facilitate the JC storyline and she’ll be brought back into the fold as a regular character. I did enjoy her and E together. Plus, I wanna see her naked, LOL.

I thought it was a re-run because of the Holiday.

I’ll have to catch it tomorrow at 11:00.

I wonder the same thing about Cameron, Omniscient - I kind of hope we do.

You know, I’m really enjoying the character of Dana Gordon a lot. Mainly because she ellicits some priceless comments from Ari.

What about Bob Saget? Was anyone else surprised at how…sleezy…he portrayed himself as?

Saget was funny. I’m liking the trend of washed up actors doing cameos of themselves in some off-beat characterization. It’s like all the excitement of The Surreal Life with actual scripted humor.

First the unbelievably great Ralph Macchio cameo, now the sleazy whore-mongering Saget…they are on a roll. Where’s Marisa Tomei? What about Punky Brewstrer and her magnificent horns?
