Entourage on HBO

And lately the characters have really been developed more and those dynamics have deepened a bit. And Vince - I mean his character has really come a long way - anyone see this past Sunday’s? I don’t want to spoil what happened if not…

I saw it. Certainly a new side of him, building on the date from the week before. At least, I think I know what you’re taling about.
Unrelated, but Johnny at COMICON was awsome.

Without spoiling anything, it certainly adds some depth to his character and actually lends some insite into his current attitude towards women.
Best line though was

Vince: “I think here [at Comicon] I’m Johnny’s brother.”

Yeah - he’s much more real than I used to think he was.

Johnny at Comic-Con was priceless. My favorite scene might have been the one at the pool when he was burning himself and the fans came up to ask him to put the helmet on etc…and then ditched as soon as someone else walked by.

What about his superhero ladyfriend?

I love this show. Does Mark Wahlberg have much to do with the show?

I was thinking about Entourage when I was watching Jon Stewart last night, when Colbert was interviewing the three young guys about the Dukes of Hazzard movie, and they were riffing on Jessica Simpson. Is there anything cooler than friends (guys or gals) when they click so well with each other?

I hope the Aquaman movie works out, but if it was real life, I’d wonder about the casting. Vincent just doesn’t look the type to play a super hero. All the superheroes I’ve seen have been bland and whitebread, until they put on the suit. Vincent is anything but bland. He’ll just overpower the character, and it should be the other way around. I wish Queens Boulevard were a real movie.

Vanessa Angel, the one those guys at the pool ditched him for. I guess she was the Lucy Lawless to his Kevin Sorbo in that deal, sort of.
Or were you thinking about Jesse Jane? “Drama, tell me you didn’t do a porno.”
He was really in his element, even if he didn’t know where he was born

I also liked the shot they were taking at Harry Knowles. Good show all around.

I’m not so sure. Depending how you wrote it, Aquaman could be different from most of the guys you’re thinking of in not having a real secret identity. Most of the other guys have a life outside the costume, whereas for the most part Aquaman is just Aquaman. He has an identity, but doesn’t use it enough to warrent really keeping it a huge secret. At least not lately. So it could work with someone like Vince.

All four hours of it?

Ah - that’s it. That whole situation was great. Finally Johnny gets the attention he craves, and his little “moment” with Vanessa Angel at the end was pretty funny too. I wonder if she’ll be in the next episode?

I’m glad it’s already Saturday…

I thought her name sounded familiar. She was the Russian soldier who wound up with Dan Ackroyd at the end of Spies Like Us.

Is it really? Good memory. I didn’t pick up on that.

Saw a preview last night for tonight’s episode - they’re at a bat mitzvah. I couldn’t figure out whose though. Anyway - also showed Vince and Mandy shooting a scene for the movie - so it’s moving fwd - interesting…I think I also saw James Cameron in the preview too. Should be a good one.

She was indeed. Looks like her first role, in fact. She was also Lisa on the TV version of Weird Science. I just learned that she made a movie recently with Kevin Dillon AND just read that she was apparently the first choice to play Xena before an illness at the last minute kept her from getting to New Zealand. Both of which make that episode even more interesting.

I thought it was good. Since it’s not much of a spoiler, the bat mitzvah was for Ari’s daughter. Some interesting developments with Vince & Eric and Vince & Mandy. Plus quite a bit of Ari, which will certainly make a lot of people happy.

I really enjoyed the episode. Ari made me laugh from the very beginning when he yelled at his neighbor about picking up the dog poo.

What did you think about the ending? When Vince was riding away in that car?

Loved Drama & Turtle talking to the kid at the pool as well. The fact that they were even giving that speech was pretty funny, I thought.
The end was interesting. Saw that as a possibility, of course, but makes you wonder where it can go really. Looking forward to next week already. (Ari’s reference to Turtle & Drama  )

I think Mandy’s playing him for a chump. I think she’ll string him along until the movie is over, maybe even getting some concessions from him or using him to curry favor with James Cameron or the press or something, and then dump him when he’s no longer useful. Either that or she’ll dump Vince again halfway through the movie and Vince will shut down the production. But then again, I’m a cynic by nature.

I like all of the five guys (I include Ari in that group) but Vincent is really growing on me. If I was 40 years younger, his picture would be on my bedroom wall. He was so charming with Ari’s little girl.

Is there some real chemistry between Sloan and E, or are they just good actors? I’m feeling a connection there. E looked fine in that suit. I guess there is a difference between Armani and the Men’s Wearhouse. Money well spent, that was.

I agree with vibrotronica about Mandy.

I just have to say that this show has improved enormously from first to second season. I really enjoy it now; the characters have more depth, esp. Vincent. He seems like a pretty good friend, actually.

I predict no good will come of the Mandy Moore relationship. After all, happy relationships on TV shows are boring. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d agree with you. Since I don’t know if it’s really practical to expect her to become a regular character, you’d have to believe something’s going to derail them at some point. It could very easily be what vibrotronica suggested, but I have trouble believing Mandy is that good an actress

I’m not sure what I predict with them but it’s not going to be smooth-sailing in my opinion - because of course that’s what keeps things interesting!!!

AuntiePam - I definitely saw chemistry between them. Maybe finally E can get a girl! The dancing bit was hilarious.

I wonder how far they’re going to jump in the offseason. To the end of Aquaman filming, since they’ve never shown Vince actually doing a movie?
