Anyone else excited to get back into the world of Ari Gold and Vince and Drama? I’ve been watching the rebroadcast of the last season and am quite excited!

Yeah. I love this show.
A little Sopranos, a little Entourage. . .it’s all good this Sunday.
Yes, Sundays will soon be my favorite days once again. If only Big Love were starting now too, I’d be in heaven.
I’m actually more excited about Entourage than the Sopranos. It’s just a lot of fun. I’m curious how they settle the dispute with Ari over the Ramones script. And I hope to see more of Lloyd this season. He’s an interesting character.
Is Ari still a regular on the show? As I recall Vince and Eric officially fired him at the end of the last season.
There’s no way that Jeremy Piven’s not returning. Ari’s the best character on the show.
Ari is the only reason to watch the show as far as I’m concerned.
And imagine Big Love is going to be back to take over the Sopranos spot in a few months since Sopranos is running a shorter season HBO has to put something in there.
I watched the sneak peek on the Entourage website. It shows Ari still present but Vince goes with another agent who is apparently drop dead gorgeous. So we’re going to see if Ari can recover after losing his star.
And yes, I’ve fallen in love with Lloyd. His character is a great foil to Ari.

I’ve said Entourge is HBO’s version of Sex in the City for guys.
In the last few months, and with the aid of my Christmas present Tivo, we’ve discovered Entourage and have become faithful disciples. We’re watching 4 eps/week (2 on Wednesdays, 2 on Fridays) as they’ve been running them in order to catch up to the start of the new season. It’s going to be a big letdown to only have one 30 minute ep a week, but we can’t wait.
It’ll be a nice way to keep the Sunday HBO going after the stingy 9-ep final season of Sopranos.
Huh, for some reason the start of this season is much earlier this year. I didn’t think the season would be starting until much later. This is gonna give me some kind of TV series jet lag … I’ve come to associate summer with new episodes of Entourage.
Just doesn’t feel right, I tell you.
My friends realized something last season, they could tell when I’d been watching Entourage as I would then channel Ari for the rest of the day. I’d be more lewd and boisterous. We’ll see if it happens again this year of if losing Vince made Ari lose his balls.

If I were to tell you that new seasons of two of the best shows on television were premiering back to back this Sunday, would that be something you’d be interested in?
I don’t get HBO, so wait 'till the DVDs for the season are out and I have some quality time to myself - then I do a marathon. I can hardly wait to catch up on last season. (why yes, I am hopelessly behind the times - why do you ask?)
Did anyone catch David Spade’s The Showbiz Show of late? There was a report that Jeremy Piven was barred from some super-hot restaurant (Nobu??) for life given his behavior. Spade then did a bit reciting a litany of shameless ego-polishing crap that apparently Piven has done. Hilarious, but really biting.
Let’s just say that you could see where Piven gets some of his inspiration, namely himself, not just from the real agent Ari Emanuel (or whatever his name is…)
Editing - okay - here is a blog commentary on what I saw:
