In this thread about why metal seem’s colder than other materials, Cecil (freezin’ his buns off in Chi) seem’s just a little jealous. Hey man, take heart. Your summers suck too.
Anyway, there is a comment here somewhere. Oh, here it is;
Metals seem hotter in the summer too. Same phenom?
Peace,

Sure, it easy to be smug, living in the Bay Area of CA.
You wake up, you know it’s gonna be in the 70’s or low 80’s today. You know it isn’t gonna rain. You know that when the sun goes down, it gonna cool off quickly to the 60’s or high 50’s. And so it goes for months on end.
Is that anyway to live your life? That’s the reason wives cheat on their husbands and vice-versa. Sameness. Predictablility. Boredom.
Set yourself free! Move to Chicago or Akron, Ohio. Lands of Unpredictablilty. Take the plunge!
Yes. Metal objects conduct their heat into your hand quicker than most others. If you ever get to enjoy a cold winter day(colder than -10 degrees Celsius), you should try licking a railroad track to really feel the difference.
Yep, conduction; goes both ways, hot and cold.
No plunges, samclem, thank you very much. Unless you got a hot tub.
And for sure no tongue on the RR tracks either, KiPPoS.
Peace,
mangeorge
Why go all the way to the railroad tracks? When I was a youngin’ I used to dare the stupid kids to lick the flagpole.
Because you are more motivated to get unstuck in a hurry.
There’s as much a chance of there being actual envy in a CecilColumn as there is of there being no “peace” at the end of one of mangeorge’s posts.
Dare I quote the master?
Hmmm. Sound’s to me like somebody could use a daquiri. And a beach.
Peace,
