That is actually the best method.

Trump announced today via social media that he’s ordering AG Bondi to open an investigation into a number of Democrats’ relationship to Jeffrey Epstein. By doing this, does it make sure the files stay sealed as a way to “preserve evidence?”

It amazes me how much benefit of the doubt Trump gets sometimes. So there is Trump, notorious pervert, adjudicated rapist and self-declared sexual assaulter (“grab em by the..”), he’s hanging around with the world’s most (or perhaps now second-most) notorious sex trafficker/pedophile for years (recent email releases show they were still in contact in 2017) and people think Trump behaved like a gentleman this whole time? We have child prostitutes all around a creep who we know will go backstage at a pageant of teenagers so he can see their little boobies and we are going to assume that he never sampled Epstein’s merchandise? And now we’ve got Trump doing every single thing possible to make himself look even guiltier including moving his co-conspirator to a cushy jail that doesn’t normally accommodate chomos. Somehow in the midst of all of this there is a possibility that Trump didn’t do anything inappropriate? Trump, the “dog that hasn’t barked” per Epstein himself? Yes, there was one witness (the one who killed herself) who said that he was a gentleman to her. I guess that proves that he doesn’t rape every young woman he encounters and that certainly corresponds to Trump’s own words about how when he is choosing a sexual assault victim, he has a certain “type”.

But at the end of the day, we don’t need the circumstantial evidence. We need those files released. Let them tell the story.

Trump has ordered an investigation into Epstein’s links with Clinton, plus some banks and others with links to Democrats. Apart from the classic deflection tactic and the disgraceful weaponisation of the Justice Department this just looks like a way to stop the release of all the files, as Trump will claim that the release will undermine an ongoing investigation.

If the files truly implicate Trump he will stop at nothing to prevent their release. When and if this latest tactic doesn’t work, he will be forced to escalate and he will become increasingly desperate. This could get very dangerous, and somebody will need to stop him.

The “If I’m going down I’m taking you bastards with me” approach to governing.

Actually, I wouldn’t object to that if any one in either party ends up going down with Trump. If they’re connected to Epstein’s underage prostitution ring, they deserve massive prison sentences.

Yeah, this is what they are saying right now on CNN. Surely someone smarter than him came up with this plan no doubt.

He’s in Full Flail Mode now.

That was my first thought as well, the sneaky bastard. On the other hand, doesn’t dragging this out longer and longer just increase the drumbeat of “Release the Files!!”.

At this point, this one isn’t just gonna go away like the Mueller Report, or “grab ‘em by the” or mocking the disabled reporter did. Wouldn’t even he want to rip the bandaid off, sooner rather than later?

You haven’t seen the festering wound under that bandaid…

I truly pray to all the pretend gods that this is true.

Trump Is freaking out about what’s happening. Let’s keep it going!!

I mean, per one email, Epstein implied that he was with Trump over Thanksgiving 2017, when Trump was president. That’s fucking huge.

And there’s more.

So far for his entire life he’s been able to avoid facing consequences for his crimes, despite being under investigation for one thing or another for basically all of it. He’s not going to think in terms of “better to face the consequences now than later”, because his life has thought him that he can always evade the consequences.

I don’t think it would even occur to him at this point to “rip off the bandage” instead of trying to make the whole affair just go away. He’s never had to think like that.

And for the first time in what seems like ages, they are talking about the Georgia Election Interference case again! The consensus is nothing is going to happen while he’s in office, but Damn! It’s nice to stir the coals on this again!

Keep shoveling the shit on the pile!

And still, if you go to the Fox News website, good luck finding news about Epstein. Need to know about breaking news on “newlyweds’ roadside death” and they’ve got you covered (#1 story). If a tree named Epstein falls in the right wing media news forest, does it make a sound?

At the very least, all this offers an excuse for the big-money men to decide Donald must go (because of his malign effect on the economy).

Not this’ll make a bit of difference in the MAGAsphere, but doesn’t this undercut his claims that he hasn’t ordered investigations of anyone?

One way to find it is to check out @realDonaldTrump at Truth Social. At the top of his feed, he pinned a FoxNews talking head saying that Trump is being framed for Epstein involvement.

Trump continues to act on the idea that there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

Which would mean- what? No funding for his mythical third term? No, there is no way trump is gonna be removed from office. Maybe he might get so sick over this he will resign, maybe, but not likely.

But this is killing the GOP in 2026- if the voters remember.

Imagine if Clinton’s penis takes down two Presidents.

The people in the Senate have been supporting Trump since 2016. That’s all I need to know about them. I don’t expect them to change one iota. They’ll continue to support Trump all the way to his bunker moment.

Or, if you don’t want Trump profiting off of the ad views that going to his site would generate, you can check trumpstruth.org, which mirrors all of his posts (but not the retweets).
