Epstein Files => Trump Impeachment & Conviction?

That’s a good point. There may be things going on behind the scenes that we just don’t see which are causing him to freak out over what’s in those files.

So when is this vote happening in the House? I swear these clowns can’t do anything at a normal pace.

I’m fully expecting the released files to have been obviously doctored, like they just did search and replace and so there are emails that now talk about Epstein visiting Joe Biden at Biden Tower in New York or meeting with Obama at one of his 17 golf courses.

Let’s say the House and Senate vote to release the files, magically with a veto-proof majority. President vetoes, and it gets overridden (yes, I know this is all impossible). Then, the president just directs the DOJ not to release the files. Now what?

(This is known as the what-if-we-didn’t method of running a country)

Once the Discharge petition has enough signatures, it must “ripen” for 7 legislative days. Then it is moved to be brought to the floor, then the Speaker has two legislative days to schedule it for a vote. After that, the vote can be delayed by members via subsidiary motions.

Theoretically? Impeachment or a lawsuit by someone with standing.

According to Al Jazeera, between 14:00 and 20:00 EST today.

They’re worse at scheduling a time than the cable company.

I used to date a guy who was fond of saying, “Let’s don’t and say we did.”

Until it starts to smell?

As pointed out above, they need to allow for subsidiary motions. I suspect the first one will be to Lay on the Table.

Perhaps you’d care to rephrase that?

427 vote to release the files. 1 vote (Clay Higgins [R-LA]) against it.

Lay Upon the Table.

Most people think that Trump knew about the sexual abuse by Epstein:

Still too evocative of a massage-with-benefits, but I’ll accept it.

Can you imagine if the files confirm that Pizzagate was true and run by Epstein?

Man, some people are slow on the uptake if they’re finally coming around to that. It seems clear that it was an open secret among the rich and powerful, the way that everyone in Hollywood knew about Weinstein.

Why does this give me the nagging feeling a lot of those people found their “courage” because they know it won’t mean anything?

Trump was a Hollywood local for many years. Mnuchin and a variety of others (Elliott Broidy, Tom Barrack, etc.) in his orbit come from his Hollywood cohort.

Trump’s whole connection to Hollywood and all that “Liberal Debauchery” is often overlooked, for no obvious reason.

This was good for a laugh. Now the spin in the rightwing bullshitosphere is that President Pedophile is playing 4D Chess and issued a reverse-UNO card by pushing for the release of the Files (I’d seen this theme across Facebook today, and had no idea where it originated from, but now I know).

These people have literally no shame.

Not that far, but the worst stuff about trump will be gone.

Maybe checkers….

Did you ever see his snooker table?
