Epstein Files => Trump Impeachment & Conviction?

The one whose constituents cannot support Trump amid what is revealed in the files. If saying “F trump” gets a congressmember re-elected, that’s exactly what they are going to do. A politician’s first priority is the next election.

Ghislaine Maxwell. Although she recruited Giuffre for Epstein. I’m currently reading Giuffre’s book, and it’s just so sad.

But that’s the key point. They can’t just keep riding the whirlwind of stupid.

The recent election shows that the SS Trump has started sinking and the smarter rats are making plans for getting off the ship.

I like your optimism.

“The Republicans” could beat Trump. But the problem is, “The Republicans” isn’t an entity that’s trying to do that. If the party as a whole stabbed Trump in the back, the party as a whole would thrive, but the decisions aren’t made by the party, but by individuals. And any individual who stabbed Trump in the back would get primaried by someone more loyal to Trump (or at least, who appeared to be more loyal to him).

They’ve been riding the whirlwind for the better part of a decade now. While I agree they can’t just keep riding it forever, I have no idea when they’ll get off.

It’s not an optimistic view. It’s a belief that says the Republican party has long term plans for destroying our democracy, civil rights, and the rule of law that will outlast Trump.

To the extent Trump can assure them that the “election” will go as he says it will go, to that extent they will be willing to go on pretending Epstein never existed.

Just a tall tale, an urban myth!

I mean, what is currently in the public domain about Trump and Epstein is absolutely bad stuff.

And what’s currently in the public domain about Trump and sexual abuse of minors is also bad stuff. That was already in the public domain before his first election. It didn’t matter.

I’m starting to come around to the opinion that if evidence surfaced that showed Trump was beyond all doubt guilty of raping children who had been kidnapped and trafficked…

Then, the MAGAts would declare pedophilia to be a fantastic thing that everyone should do, that raping young girls was just fine. And the other R’s would go along, or just say “Oh, I have not heard anything about that, I’m just much too busy.”

And it turns out that absolute selfishness is a terrible ideology for producing somebody who will risk themselves for the party.

I would love to see that position tested.

I’m going to post this here instead of resurrecting older Epstein threads. I’m guessing this topic will be floating to the top of the pond scum that is the current news, since the House is reconvening.

House Democrats release Epstein email that claimed Trump ‘spent hours’ with victim

In the 2011 email, the disgraced financier wrote to Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump had “spent hours at my house” with one of Epstein’s victims and that encounter “has never once been mentioned” by police.

In the 2011 email released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, Epstein wrote to Ghislaine Maxwell, his partner who was later convicted of sex trafficking, that Trump had “spent hours at my house” with one of Epstein’s victims and that encounter “has never once been mentioned” by police. Epstein called Trump a “dog that hasn’t barked.”

This is a developing story and will be updated.

You’re only just now starting to think that? It’s been obvious for years. He is known to have acted as a peeping tom at his beauty pageants, spying on women changing. Some of them were fifteen years old. He admitted it. He boasted of it. He thinks that a history of sexual assault makes him a successful ladies’ man.

Of course they won’t hold it against him.

I know a MAGA woman who said she would let Trump grab her by the pussy (remember that quote?) because he has the right policies. So I don’t think MAGA will turn on Trump no matter how bad the Epstein files are regarding him.

I just saw that on Brian Tyler Cohen’s YouTube channel. Trump isn’t directly implicated in the emails, so I’m sure that’s going to be the right-wing talking point.

Ewww! :face_vomiting: Eye bleach!

Ask them “What policies? Bigotry? Rape? Pedophilia? Racism? Stealing from the poor to give to the rich?”

You could go on, and on and on.

She would probably say, “For a start.” This person turned down a great job offer because, “I can’t work for her.” Her boss would have been from India and apparently an Anglo working for a brown person goes against God’s law.
