I suppose we’ll be seeing a completely plastered Abby and a neglected Joe tonight. ho hum.
I wonder if she will stumble blindly into bed with the young doc. ho hum is right, but somehow I can’t stop watching. “Why are all the docs refusing to treat this patient?” Why?? I must know. :smack:
My guess is that the patient has either SARS or avian flu. There has been a lot of discussion in recent times of healthcare workers’ “duty of care” regarding certain contagious diseases, as in this article.
Okay, who watched? Man, Abby was being a total bitch on the phone to Luka at the start.
So far this season kind of sucks.
Me too, but that’s mostly because there’s nothing on opposite that I am more interested in watching. Then I feel guilty for coming in here and snarking but at least I’m not alone.
Yeah, Abby’s drinking, well that’s new, we’ve never seen that before.
And the patient no one will treat? Wow, that was misleading.
I’m also getting tired of the residents always showing up the board certified specialists.
Oops, I think I sprained my eyes. I really need to stop watching this show. Is there a 12 step program I can try?
We have a chaplain?
Yeah, I understand she was hungover but I don’t like her neediness. He has a family medical emergency–handle things on your own!
Wasn’t it though? And next week’s episode will have it all!
I do flip between ER and Big Shots which is a totally guilty pleasure. I may just have to give in to it and kick ER to the curb.
Sorry, I forgot to comment on the worst moment. Casein gets pulled in and Gates tells him “he’s in v-tach”.
“Are you kidding?” like he’s totally caught out. C’mon, he would swing into action and not be befuddled.
So now Neela has turned into a sit-com character? First we get the " have a long conversation with someone who isn’t who you think they are" cliche. Then we get “change your personality for the worse because someone you know is an asshole tells you to.”
Yep pretty soon we'll get a Christmas episode where she will get to see how things would be in the ER if she had never been born.
Yeah, she’s never been that nice in general. Always very businesslike and unemotional.
Quite true, but she was never the jerk that the bald guy told her to be. There is a difference between distant, and "in you face antagonistic". Since she knew from having to deal with him in the past that it wasn't the best approach, why would she consider it?
Answer, some writer had seen it on a sit-com, and thought hilarity would ensue.
So now that the chaplain is a potential love interest for Gates, does that mean he is no longer with the pack sniffing around Neela's bottom?
Who were those twins? I’ve seen them somewhere and can’t find them on the NBC site, and the episode cast isn’t on IMDB yet.
I think they were Becky and Jessica O’Donohue.
Looks right, thanks.
Wasn’t Becky on American Idol (briefly)?
I think so. Jessica’s bio lists her as having co-hosted the American Idol Season 5 Finale. (I didn’t watch it so I can’t say for sure.)
I only knew it was them because someone I know from another message board is friends with them and had mentioned they would be on an upcoming episode of ER.
Seeing what happened to the personal trainer made me glad that I started wearing latex gloves at the gym. Or am I overreacting?
Where was Abby going at the end? To a bar or an AA meeting or....?
Yeah, he’s always so sympathetic about her family deals, but she has no sympathy at all for his father being ill? I kept expecting another phone call where she redeemed herself a bit, but it was not forthcoming.
I too am looking forward to the ER episode that HAS IT ALL!
