I don’t know if this was a nationwide thing or not, but the sound went out for about 10 minutes right in the middle of the show. If anyone did here what was going on, can you tell me:
what was the long conversation about between the mother with the dying son and Dr. Lewis about?
The son was an opera singer, she was talking about the long decline of Huntingtons, it hit him at age 29 when she thought the risk had passed, watching him die for 20 years.
He didn’t, he lead by example. Carter walked out and everyone just sort of followed.
I need spoilers too. I saw all of the show, except what happened before the first commerical. How did the show start? (something about Luka and that annoyed woman, and/or needles? I didn’t understand those references when I tuned in.)
I can’t remember much of what happened in the beginning because I tend to get a little lost during all the hectic hospital stuff. elfkin477, are you talking about the angry woman who did her own menstrual extraction, blathering on about a war between men and women and how women have to be ready to take care of things themselves when the men win?
So Luka’s taken to sleeping with interns, or students? The exchange between Carter and Romano was fantastic; Carter’s involuntary guffaw when Romano said “shorthanded” was priceless.
As for the needles, there was a patient going nuts in a room, threatening to throw hypodermic needles at the doctors if they came in. Security was taking forever to arrive to deal with this guy, that’s what started the day.
Later, there was the 12 year old hooker who was removed from the ER by her pimp/dealer/BF and finally the guy with the gun asking for Demerol.
I don’t remember them mentioning anything about Luka and the women, you just had to pick up from the context that he slept with her, then pretty much ignored her. She seemed pissed that she ever got involved with him. Shades of Doug Ross.
I really hope Deb doesn’t get involved with Pratt, that would be too cliche.
