Esperanto usernames by matt_mcl - Esperantaj uzantonomoj fare de matchjo-mcl

I’m not entirely sure what you’re up to here, matt, but as a samideano I feel duty bound to put in a request.

Well, golly, I won’t sleep tonight until I know how to say “Duck Duck Goose” in Esperanto.

If you’ve got a minute, how about Gundhilde?

my non-esperanto username is actually “I am punha” with no spaces. Punha is the name of my first stuffed animal. Plan accordingly.

okay, make mine esperantized. the actual word is skuggi, which means shadow. this might help a bit.

I’m not sure what you can do with it - I stole the name from a fictional detective, Asey Mayo - maybe Esperanto for Number One Salad Dressing?

If it helps any, in the “Hear colors and taste sound” thread over in GQ, Tiny Cow said my name looked to her like a big lopsided grin. (I’d put one of those smiley faces here, but I fear, er…ah, I mean, respect ChiefScott too much to do it.)

Esperantize this please: “Physicist and Penguinist”.

Muchas Gracias or whatever.

Thanks Matt, that was interesting. I don´t know the first thing about Esperanto, but I detect a hint of a Dutch influence here and there. Is my feeling correct?

Well, about 20%-30% of Esperanto roots are Germanic in origin. At any rate, the headquarters of the UEA are in Rotterdam.
