European dopers...a favor?

Pezpunk needs a favor. A few years ago while visiting Key West Florida I spied a cool watch in a little shop there. It was made by an British company named “Animal”. It was the first time I had seen any watches by this company. My fiancee picked it up for me and I have been in happy watch land ever since. Until now…

Last week while taking off my watch I noticed that the band was splitting. It has since gotten much worse and is being taped together. I looked online and found the Animal watch webpage but sending the watch overseas to have a watchband put on seems excessive. I emailed the company about purchasing one to be sent here but no one has responded.

I don’t know if they are very common watches there but if so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to get a band for my watch or if someone could pick one up and I will pay them for it.

If any americans happen to know where to get one, please let me know. Thanks!
Andy

You can find lots of different metal and rubber watchbands at many jewelery stores that will almost certainly fit your watch. If you are set on having a genuine Animal watchband, you could try calling a company that stocks the watches, like this one, and see if they stock replacement bands and will send you one. You’ll probably have better luck with a phone call than with email.

Cool! Thanks Gaudere. I actually ran across that page and never even thought to ask them if they carried replacement parts. I just emailed a company in NYC that may be able to help.
As far as other bands, I have considered that but would really prefer the same band. I will use that as a last resort. Thanks again!
