Ok:Discussion about child porn (which was closed becasue of p2p discussion and IMHO some other people being silly).
Now when Trader opened a thread asking why the originial was closed(Link )
Sayeth Eutychus
Now, I don’t undrstand why I was supposedly the main factor in it. It was more Trader and other people than me. That’s bullshit saying that I should be the one on thin ice when I didn’t do anything wrong.
Smiley Death : Read the thread again. In the future I would suggest that any posts you make in a thread as potentially volitile as one on child porn be kept strictly to the subject matter at hand. Strictly. I also noted your comment in this thread. As you know, accusations of trollery are not to be brought to the board, but are to be brought to the attention of the moderators and administrators through e-mail.
trader_of_shots : Do a search. This had been discussed here ad infinitum ad adsurbum ad nauseum. You may not like our policy, but it is our policy. If you don’t like it please feel free to find another message board where your dangerous weapon can be unloaded in someone elses shooting gallery.
In fact you are correct. The mods are fairly sophisticated AI “sprites” designed to give the vBulletin based SDMB board a more “human” feel as moderators interacting with users as “people” with real life lives and discrete personalities rather than simply calling them ModSeries 2003 or BanBot V.2. I commend you for having to insight to ferret out this little known fact.
Point of order. Moderators do not ban. Administrators ban.
(Of course, Administrators do tend to listen to the suggestions of Moderators who are stuck with the day-to-day task of cleaning up puddles of juvenile sophistry along with a host of other problems.)
Yeah, but when you constantly post OPs in the wrong forum so the mods need to move them (in other words, you’ve made them do lots o’ unnecessary work already), you tend to have your name remembered, so a little rule breaking gets more notice.
