Even more new kittehs

We figured Momma Cat had had her kittens, but hadn’t been able to find them. Since Evil Kitty had her kittens in the covered box on the porch, we checked the other obvious spots (under the other porch, in the shed, in the old doghouse out back) but no kittens.

Well, sure enough, my husband messages me while I am at work and we have the following exchange:

Him: We have another kitten. It’s another pink one, I’ll email a picture.
Me: Really? Where’d you find it? Is there only one?
Him: Just the one. Under Sterling’s desk.
Me: Desk? Or porch?
Him: Desk – it must have followed MC or EK in the door, Sterling ran them out, but we kept hearing kitten-whine and found it under her desk. It’s at least 2 weeks older than EK’s.

So I get home and sure enough, Momma Cat has a cute little (at least 4 weeks old) pink kitten on the front porch. We look him over and ooh and ahh and come inside to make dinner. Not too much later, Niq comes in to tell me there’s another kitten – Momma Cat had brought a second kitten to the porch. He is an orange tabby. Maybe 30 minutes to an hour later, we hear more kitten meowing and Momma Cat is carrying kitten number 3 across the yard – another orange tabby, but much fluffier than the other.

So, we have the 7 kittens which are Inky (black runt), Blinky (big black one), Pinky (little pink one) and Clyde (grey one) and then Garfield (smooth-coat orange tabby), Odie (big pink one) and Nermal (fluffy orange tabby). Here are the pink ones for comparison. It’s weird, I have had a total of 4 pink cats (including the 2 kittens we have now) but I have never seen anyone else with one & when people see mine they’re weirded out. Yes, they’re actually beige, but the shade of beige is very odd and in the sunlight they are definitely pink. Anywho, thought I’d share the kitteh pics.

Those are EXCELLENT cat names (especially the Pacman ones). I lurves me some pink kittehs.

Squeeeeeeee!

We tried to get pictures of the new, bigger kittens with our chihuahua for size comparison, but they were hissing and spitting and arching their backs – which was so adorable, since they’re literally close to half his size!

The Pacman names were an epiphany my daughter had when we had already started calling the pink one Pinky and I mentioned the black ones were black as ink. She’s a cute kid. My son picked the Garfield names as soon as he saw the little orange tabby – silly kitten was trying to take his milk to go. It was funny to watch – he would suckle, then pull and turn his head and try to walk away with the nipple still in his mouth. Poor Momma Cat has far more patience than I – my kids were off the boob when they learned to bite!

I had a pink tabby cat once, with copper eyes. Miss Tigress. Best cat ever. I miss her. :frowning:
