What you fail to realize, Daniel, is that PRR might not WANT to do anything about the situation except vent. You don’t need to solve it for him or tell him what to do. Let him get it off his chest in MPSIMS without calling him a jerk or telling him he’s the one with the problem. I don’t understand this need to be prescriptive when someone is just mildly complaining about something.
You’re so right! That bastard better be in here bright and early on the 26th. I’ve given all I can, I will not be taken advantage of any further. Anyway, a few more hours and I’m off for my melancholy dinner at my usual melancholy tavern–then an uneventful evening in my chambers, I’m sure.
But here on the dope, advice is mandatory and to reject it makes you a jerk. Wasn’t there a 700+ pit thread about this just recently? 
Heck, I’ve seen mild venting along the basic lines of “Gah, he leaves the toilet seat up after I told him not to!” greeted with cries of “Divorce him NOOOOOW!” LHoD’s advice was much sounder than that, of course.
Dopers really like to overreact to mild venting, in one direction or another. Either they’ll take up the cause of the OP or decide the OP is a horrible monster. It seems to depend on who the OP is as to which one happens.
As I said, I was probably overreacting, and my exposure to prr’s attitude is entirely voluntary. So I’m gonna stop. I appreciate the suggestion.

You’ve got an easy solution that wouldn’t get you warned about it (stop posting it), but instead make contemptuous remarks about the policy.

Two threads, complaining–in a minor way–about a minor annoyance. Where he keeps pounding at the same old grievances, like worrying at a sore tooth.
If prr is so determined not to make a major drama of his annoyance then perhaps he could limit sharing his hissy fits here, hmmmm? Just an idea.
But of course dopers don’t tend to overlook chronic shrill whining because we’re just shits that way.

He pitted even sven for her inappropriate post in MPSIMS. She admitted it was inappropriate. It seems the pit system worked perfectly to bring it to her attention.
I realize prr appears to be Hated Poster of the Day, but if you’re saying the remedy of a pit posting isn’t available to people if they are annoying, the pit is going to be pretty fucking empty.

That’s pretty inappropriate behavior, IMO.
It is the pit, that is the nature of the pit. If you start a pit thread, many that dislike you will show up to insult you. I would say it is basic human nature in fact.
Definitely. But exposing people’s hidden agendas, or examining their own exposure of an agenda outside of the topic of a Pitting, is always beneficial.
It’s also a fairly cowardly practice she’s indulging herself in–Green Bean admits that she basically agrees with my point here, and disagrees with Even Sven’s, but she’s going to give me a little grief in this thread because she wasn’t quite finished giving me grief in some other thread. How about growing a pair of balls and sticking on the topic while you’re at it?

You can only use a signature once per thread. It’s a two-year-old policy that they now are claiming to be enforcing. I haven’t seen enforcement of it, but there’s more than one mod in that thread claiming that the policy is valid.
On preview, to What Exit’s point, while it’s not clear if they’ll be enforcing the policy, there was more than one mod pointing it out in that thread.
