iI would be very nervous about the weather in your neck of the woods. i’m not sure if i would be at the iI can live with spiders" level of nervous, though; that would have to be a really scary storm.
bayless is being calm yet wary, that is what a good dog does; keeping his people safe.

Bayless is a good name I think. For some reason he makes me think of Bayard, only not.
Bayliss means ‘very comfortable’
In other words, he’s a comfortable fit.I might have made that up

There’s a chef called Rick Bayless, and I was thinking of him when I read the name.

A good old tri-colored hound. A fine dog.
He has dainty feet. Every now and then one ear stands up. Crazy.
The Siamese have decided to check him out. He was laying by my bed on a rug. The cats got on the bed and leaned over the edge to sniff and look. Bear put a paw out and was gonna touch him but, he moved and both cats hissed like they saw a ghost.
They gave him the once over.
Yep.
He’s accepted into the family.
They won’t be lounging around with Bayliss but they’ll tolerate his presence.

I was giving the cats a ‘very goodist, homemade liver’ treat.
Bayliss thought Christmas had come.
He stole both of their treats.
Two snipey Siamese were not amused.
I put their treats on the counter in the laundry room.
Bear protested vocally for a good 20 min.
The power is back on so I put laundry in the dryer to calm him down.
Meeko ate both treats.
Bear will need to quit bitching or he’s always gonna lose his treats.
Of course, I got him another treat.
I can’t take the yowling.

What a fine-looking doggie, Beck! In spite of all the cats I’ve had, I really am a dog person too.
While we were eating dinner Bayliss laid under the table.
I caught at least 3 giving him bites of meatloaf.
Imma have to stop this or he’s gonna be the fat boy.
Betsy the Beagle has fat girl sewn up. She has to go in the crate for meal times.
Her ‘beg’ is so pity inducing no one can resist.
He’s a very handsome dog. Also, I looked deep into those eyes, and they said, “I belong to Beck and only Beck!” He didn’t show up on Son-of-a-Wrek’s doorstep, did he? He showed up on yours. Bayliss hath spoken. He’s a Beckdog.
