even if it wasn’t in hte movie? Whenever I hear “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman, I think of “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape”. Similiar themes, I guess.
A strange one - my sister was once watching Halloween 5 when “Mr Bojangles” came on the radio. She muted the film to listen, and now associates it with Michael Myers stabbing people.
Bonnie Prince Billy’s Agnes Queen of Sorrow" with Into the Wild.
Does anybody not associate “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” with The Breakfast Club?
ETA: And then there’s “Footloose”, “Fame”, “Maniac”, “Danger Zone”…the 80s were the era of the cheesy soundtrack tie-in.
“Stuck in the Middle” and Reservoir Dogs. (video probably NSFW… graphic violence and what not.)

Every time I hear Freebird, I see Jenny teetering on the balcony wall.
I have a hard time hearing “One” without thinking of Magnolia.
Yes, actually. I bought that Simple Minds album before the movie came out.
God, I’m old.
Yes, but only songs that were in the movie.
Soundgarden’s “Outshined” makes me think of Brad Pitt getting stoned in True Romance.
That Dick Dale song reminds me of John Travolta and Uma Thurman dancing in Pulp Fiction.
“Save the Best for Last” always goes with The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
To me,the song “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” will always be associated–and spoiled–by The Execution of Private Eddie Slovik. It was in the movie, and played as Martin Sheen was executed.
When I hear Welcome to the Jungle, I think of the opening sequence of Lean on Me (the Joe Clark Movie).
The Cars’ “Moving In Stereo”.
I trust I don’t have to name the movie.
