Ever been banned for trolling

:open_mouth:

Agreed.

To the OP - Congratulations on your success if that’s what you want to call it.

I used to play BF1942 and Day of Defeat using the handle “T. K. Smacktard,” but had to change it when I kept getting kicked and banned immediately after logging into a server. They didn’t even wait to see if it was ironic!

I disagree. There are quite a few message boards I can name that are by whackos for whackos and the rules make it clear that skeptics aren’t welcome. If you think it’s acceptable to go into their boards and try to make them see the light, then you also think it’s acceptable for me to come to your house and try to convert you to atheism, right?

I got banned from a barefoot forum because I had only written France as my location and they wanted something less vague. I didn’t see that one coming.

I have managed this on the chat of various poker programs.

What in the world is a barefoot forum?

Shit just got real, y’all.

At a guess, I’d say a forum dedicated to people who like to walk or run barefoot. It might also be for minimal shoes like those toe sneakers, but my non-existent money is on the former.

I wasn’t aware of any forums for barefooters, but I haven’t really looked.

Although barefoot running is a “thing” among a segment of the running community, so I expect Silver Tyger is right.

Wow, that sounds… promising.

“I like to run barefoot!”

“Me too!”

“Me three!”

“I like to run on sand!”

“I like to run on grass!”

“Wow, grass? I’ll have to try that!”

“I like to run on ground glass! Heheheh!”

“Shut up, troll!”

The Internet is really only good for two things: porn and trolling.

You are still the bester post on this site.

He has a fan club you know. Would you like an application?

This was years ago, back before they went pay. They called uncle and some of them ended up coming to our board as regular posters. (We spammed the shit out of them with pictures of kittens and teddy bears and cutesy things like that. AFTER we locked up registration so they couldn’t counter attack. Good times)

I thought that’s what a barefoot forum would be, but then I thought, “No, that would be really lame. It’s probably some euphemism for natural birthing or something”.

“How do you guys avoid dog poo?”
“I run around it. Just look down!”
“But what if he runs at night?”
“Running barefoot at night? That’s crazy talk!”

I wish there was a “like” button on the dope.

I didn’t get banned, but a couple of times my friend and I trolled an anti-smoking page on Facebook. We agreed with the basic premise (“I don’t like being around cigarette smoke”), but a lot of the people on the page were literally asking for things like people being imprisoned for years for lighting a cigarette, not giving smokers jobs until they quit smoking, etc. I can’t remember, but one or two might have called for capital punishment for smoking.

We hoped that trolling them would get some of them to see how ridiculous their positions were (our trolling was essentially taking their posts to the even further extremes, then much later on when were about done slowly getting more lucid). I’m afraid it may have been lost on them.

Misread the title; I thought Even been was banned for trolling…:o

Well, you know how “barebacking” is used as a euphemism? This is similar.

All clear?
