My SO and I bought cell phones from Amazon last year. Same thing, a really good price with rebate (I ended up getting $80 over the cost of the phone back, my SO broke even with a snazzier model) and we wanted to switch from Sprint to T-Mobile, and I wanted a phoe that would work overseas. That was the deal, we had to sign up for a new plan. I was leaving for Ireland and I had to have the phone before I left. We ordered our phones and specified overnight shipping. Three days later my phone wasn’t here and I was leaving in two days. The credit check was holding it up, even though we have excellent credit. So I got mad and called, and they got my new phone to me the day I left for Ireland. I have to give Amazon credit for coming through with my phone like that, but I don’t know how it would be if I had bad credit.
