Ahem. He says it’s growing on him. Here’s hoping.
I used to cut my own hair. It didn’t look so bad, so I thought, since I have long curly hair.
Then, after about a year and a half, I went to my hairdresser at my neighborhood salon. Lovely Steven ( my hairdresser) asked me who had given me my last cut.
I said, “I did.”
He said, “Stop DOING that.”
And I did. Now, still, I haven’t gotten a trim since October (growing out my Sarah Jessica PARKER! short do from the summer), but still. I heed the professional warning.

I trim my own split ends, but I go to a hairdresser on the rare occasions I do get it trimmed. It’s only about twice a year, but if I ever stopped I’d feel SO disloyal. She’s been cutting my hair since I was a baby.
I haven’t cut it myself, but Orange Skinner has.
It just felt strange, not really like floating. It was more cold than anything else, since it was long before I got it cut.
