Ever have a Shanty?

Must be a geographical thing, because when I went to bartending school, and in fact, the whole time I tended bar, a shandy was beer and ginger ale. I never had anyone order one and expect lemonade in it.

Anyone try Boomerang beer?

Boomerang Beer

Is that the beer that you puke back up after drinking it?

Actually about the only way I can drink beer is with lemon juice in it. It seems to mellow the taste and get rid of the aftertaste tht beer sometimes has. Yes I know that’s sacreligeous, but I just am not a huge fan of that beery taste.

In the Descartes vein that’s been going around,
“John Stuart Mill, of his own free will/
After half a pint of shandy was partictularly ill.”

I’ve had Radler before. Quite pleasant. Like a snakebite for the A.M. (before the argument starts, where I live (american NW) a snakebite is guinness and hard cider, while a blank and tan is guinness and bass–I’ve also been in bars where the snakebite recipes involve the blackcurrant, though).
