Ever used a historical tactic in a PC game?

One more than one occaision, I’ve built a Maginot Line-like defense strategy in Warcraft 2. That is, completely focused on only one area, and got my ass kicked when the enemy came from a different place.

Back in my Red Alert 2 days I employed a “Shock and awe”-type approach. When I attacked I did so with a large ground force and an assortment of aerial units. I would attack the construction facilities with my jets and power facilities with my rocketeers. I countered their ground forces with my own. It was somewhat hard to manage it all by my lonesome, but it works wonders against the computer if you use Waypoints :smiley:
