Every Simpson Episode ever starts Thursday.

Show entire series

Show original full episodes, not syndicated edits

Completely fuck up the aspect ratio of the first 19.5 seasons :smack:

Damnit, FXX!

Probably not, but if this were an annual event, I’d be happy with that. I guess it’s getting really good ratings. A second time wouldn’t get the same ratings, but probably better than the random non-Simpsons reruns they normally air.

Better than, “Hey, hey, this is not a lending library. If you’re not going to buy that thing put it down or I’ll blow your heads off!”?

Okaaaaay.

Show em all backwards next time for a random change of pace

That would make Who Shot Mr. Burns? pt2 kind of confusing. And pt1 completely spoiled.

Nah, it would just be like Memento.

Someone tweeted @EverySimpsons to do it again in December today and they replied they’re working on it. So yes, this might happen again.

Interesting trivia I saw today. The Episode Holidays of Future Passed which airs today was written as a potential series finale when contract talks with the voice actors looked like they were going south. It ends on Christmas to book end the first episode.

I just don’t think that’s true, there had to be some episodes that start on other days of the week.

I don’t have cable/satellite any more so I’m missing out, but I am envy-green and wishing I could partake. Especially with a DVR. Man, those early episodes were just phenomenal.

cool!

Missed the episode with the <comicbookguy>Worst Super Bowl Halftime Show Ever<comicbookguy>.

Glad they’re doing it again for Christmas.

also they will be having blocks of episodes with themes 5 nights a week but they will be the versions with Syndication cuts.

It is done.

You know, I watched more of this than I’d care to admit****(as did the Fella, who is not a fan as a I am*).

The recurring conversation in the house has been variants of “Omg! The Simpsons are on!”
“You’ll never guess what’s on! The Simpsons!”
“It’s weird! It’s like The Simpsons are on all the time!”

I enjoyed it. I’ve watched it from the beginning. I liked the shorts when they were on Ullman’s show I had already thought ‘Life in Hell’ and Groening were cool. It was really fun catching bits and remembering snippets from my life.*** It was nostalgic, if you can say that about something that’s still there.

*He’s not a tv watcher, so watching with him is fun. Almost all eps are new to him and he cracks up.
*** I had forgotten about some class I took (programming in college, maybe?) where whenever I would get something right, I would yell to myself, “In your face, space coyote!!!”

****I know, the four asterisk is up first, but I went back to read and did want to say that I’m not crazy. We did stuff and watched his racing stuff. Two guys won stuff and I think we were rooting for them! Or not. Or at least we don’t hate them.

Although it’s not really an inherently funny line, I’ve always loved Apu’s indignant “Hindu! There are 700 million of us!”

(Rev. Lovejoy: “Aw, that’s super.”)

Apu’s best line is “Please do not offer my god a peanut.”
