A couple of years ago a poem of mine was published in an Anthology called A Painted Garden. I recently recieved a letter stating that they (The International Library of Poetry – not as impressive as it sounds) want to reprint my poem in the new America at the Millennium. Yay!
Also, the ILoP now has a website. You can view the poems, order the books, etc. To see my poem, either go to www.poetry.com and search for Elizabeth Dykstra (I use my middle name as a nom de plume), or click here.
I’ll be goddamed! I found one of my poems there! I was suckered in to buying a book, too. They still send me letters every now and then about how they were so impressed with my last poem written when I was sixteen, and it’s gawd-awful) that they want to put me in their next book. But I’m not good enough to warrant a free copy.
Well kiss my grits! I’m in there too! Here’s my entry. I didn’t get suckered into buying a book though, I just thought I had a chance of winning the a prize (HA! Like I’d win anything!).
