The US women’s soccer team just won gold over Brazil, largely due to Hope Solo’s excellent play. If you recall, she was benched for the game against Brazil in the last women’s World Cup, and they lost. I hope the next person that sees Greg Ryan gives him a good cock punch.
That gold medal game was as good as the 1999 Women’s World Cup game. I’m so glad that at least the game was decided by a goal rather than PKs.
This game is one of the best highlights of the Olympics.

And Norwegians stop saying “Wait, wait, we’ve got an Olympic horse jumping team now?” and start saying “How exactly do you dope a horse, anyway?” 
All the horses tested positive for capsaicin, which I"m surprised is a banned substance. Isn’t it a common ingrediant in sore muscle rubs?

That’s why it’s banned. It’s a painkiller (rather surprising to anyone who’s eaten a very hot chilli, but presumably that burning sensation doesn’t count as pain). If your horse feels reduced pain you can drive it harder.
Alive At Both Ends - I didn’t realize it was a painkiller. I thought it gave some chemical heat, like those heating patches, which don’t seem to relieve much pain (says the person who has had a stiff neck for two weeks).

So now Thailand has two medals: A Gold in Womens 59-Kilo Weightlifitng and a Silver in women’s under-49kg Taekwondo.
Thai ladies kick ass! I believe we won the Gold in that same Taekwondo category in 2004.
