Ewing's Sarcoma: Adult Support Groups?

I was told yesterday that a family member has Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare kind of cancer. Its common in kids but he’s 27 now so its kind of unusual. Naturally the whole family is very upset. He has asked that everyone not call and make a big deal out of it…he’s more worried about our feelings than his own health.

His mom asked me to find a good support group for adults with this disease. So far I haven’t had much luck, the groups I have found focus mostly on young kids make up the vast majority of people with this kind of cancer.

Does anyone on the Dope have or know someone who has it? Anyone know of a good support group I can put him in touch with?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I don’t know of one specifically, but have you searched through cancer.org? They have a lot of resources there. You might be able to find something through them. Good luck.

Here’s a possibly good lead (few “face-to-face” groups, but good online support and info) :

Thanks guys, I’ll check out both.
