Exactly who plays what instruments in Creed?

I mean the rock band. I’ve seen a few of their videos (I’m a minor fan, not enough to buy an album yet though) and it looks like the only guy playing a guitar was playing a bass. Does Scott Stapp play lead when they’re on tour? Was I mistaken and the other guy actually plays lead, with Stapp normally playing bass on tour?
Or do they just hire a guitarist when needed?

hahahahahaaaaaa!!! Scott Stapp playing an intrument! hahahaaaaaaa!!! woohoo! hahahahahahaaaaaaaa!!! hehehe. . . wipes tears from eyes hehehe. . .ok, sorry! it’s just funny, the idea of that guy playing instrument! No offense meant to anyone! I think they hire musicians when on tour.

I don’t see the himor, ozonebaby. Right here he says he can play the guitar. (it’s the third question down) Is he just lying?

I think Scott plays the hurdy-gurdy.

hee hee

the “official” band is just tremonti (guitar), stapp (vocals) and the drummer, old what’s-his-name. for recording, they use studio musicians. for tours, they hire guys.

Ooooohhh, you tried to be both funny AND witty twice in one post and utterly failed both times.

Now, you must :smack: yourself about the head and shoulders 76 times with a wet haddock.

Now as far as answering the OP’s question, Scott Stapp sings, Scott Phillips plays drums and Mark Tremonti plays guiitar. He also did all of the bass tracks for their last album Weathered. Brian Marshall was the original bassist but he left and according to the bio at ubl.com was replaced by Brian Hestla.

Ozonebaby,

So what if Creed hired other musicians to play their instruments? What do you think the Rolling Stones did as regards the bass player for their last 2 tours.
Grow the fuck up.

In regards to hiring tour musicians, doesn’t Rush adhere to a “We don’t record any song that we three can’t reproduce on stage by ourselves” program? Somebody once told me that, but since I’ve never seen them live, that could be completely wrong.

I believe it. I’ve seen footage of Geddy Lee singing, playing the keyboards with one hand, and strumming a chord on his bass with the other.
